Well its on. Tight fit to the body.



Will do an oil change in powell most likely and maybe do the body mount bushings if time allows.

Made the front a bit softer but not bad. Pretty smooth really. Bumps should help with bug hits. I like it though. Will add some Baja squadron lights in the fogs later and some spots or something too this fall for deer driving duty.

 

Was that a diy kit? Powered?

 

Nah eric doesn't do DIY kits anymore..no matter how much i asked for one

Not power coated either. Just rattle can bed liner. Im getting to the point where if i could afford it, Id have everything PC.

 

Ya I’m a firm believer in not painting everything all the time.

 

eh not gonna get away from that even with PC. For me its more about the mounting points and all the little nooks and stuff. Those stay clean and rust free.

Shits gonna get tore up out of use and abuse no matter what but a lot easier to touch up PC armor than just painted.

 

The Raptors are heavy. A couple years ago a friend of mine was following me in his new Raptor and got stuck in a spot I made it through fairly easily.


I had to chain up to get him pulled out, but got 'er done.

 

yeah big trucks for sure. Also wide as fuck.

 

that is a downside. For the wheeling most do on here you don't want that wide. Down here in the south it doens't matter as its all open, but it looks almost odd to me sitting next to a normal f150. thoughts in my head just keep saying that would never fit down the trail at the cabin up in MT lol.

I will but not yet. Will get new coilovers first.

I dig the new bumper though. Looks good on the truck. Will build some projectors likely soon so I don't have one fogged light and one good one. Going to pick up another oem one tonight with an oem fender and flare.

At the tire shop today. My kings are leaking. They are well due for a rebuild. Also have a tore cv boot and the valve cover is still freaking leaking.

Radiator and tranny cooler working though no leaks there or from the pump.

 

Nah, I knew before as well but had forgotten. Realized again seeing the new bumper... Familiar, good look IMO

Winches are for wankers that are always getting stuck. Expert drivers never get stuck, so they never need a winch. They are also smart enough to only go wheeling with guys that never get stuck.

 

I may or may not have said winch either , but hey my mall crawling as of now hasn't required it.

Met with the guy and picked up my green fender. Dude had a super clean awesome 2004 limited DC TRD offroad. Saw mine and started asking a ton of questions. Gonna have a lil mod day for him to get his suspension a good refresh. nice guy.
