So I’ve been wanting to play with some black vinyl. I’m tempted to try and do it myself. What do you think of the design?

I really like it. Of course I like a lot of the retro vinyl! I keep saying I am going to run racing stripes down the top of mine. Tailgate to chin.

    I like them both.
Suggestion - and this only my opinion - on the side vinyl, try making the transition from low to high the same rake as the windshield and see how that looks.
Either way it looks good and makes your truck uniquely yours - well, besides the flatbed, which I think is ROCKING!!!

I said the same thing, I was going to run two 12 inch strips right down the center front bumper to bumper, but never dead. I am curious to see what it would look like though. I was going to do it on a blue Tacoma and use white stripes like the old cobras

That would look so cool! I got the idea from a guy on here that has a QS Taco that lives in Hawaii. Let me see if I can find the posts.

I was even going to try to find perforated orange vinyl to do the opposite parts of the sun roof so it looks like black stripes on the glass.

I did this to my wife's Kia Soul, the dealer wanted $500 to do it. I bought a kit on Ebay with quality 3M vinyl with the spacing and everything on transfer tape. It really not that difficult if you just make sure take your time and don't be afraid to use a lot of soapy water so you can get it in position before you really stick it down. And a sharp Exacto and extra blades is a must.

It's just to cut at the body seems and gaps and where the material ends so you can tuck it around the edges where it ends.

LOL Yeah I totally get that,You just have to cut that edge before you stick it down. It was the 1st time I had done anything like that so it was a bit nerve racking. But I wan't going to pay what the dealer wanted for what was basically $45 dollars in vinyl and a couple hours of time. Just youtube the process, it really is less daunting than it looks.

Well, I am going back to my tint shop next weekend to have the windshield strip added and they wrap cars so I will ask what they charge for some stripes. I would not mind paying someone if the price is right. I am short and don't even get how some people reach up to add the hood scoop vinyl. I know what a ladder or step stool is but I would think to do something like that right you would need to be suspended over the hood laying on some scaffolding or something crazy like that. The roof, forget about it!

I was really safe and stood on top of an orange Home Depot bucket to see and reach the parts on the roof. LOL
