If you haven't dropped the money yet, I'd check the easy places first.

The windshield cowling that covers the air intake for the HVAC system isn't too crazy to remove, same goes for the lower footwell paneling. A flashlight, screwdriver, and common sense goes a long ways.

Good luck, let us know if you find it.

Not sure if someone has suggested it before, but have you checked under the cowling? Pop the hood and open that sucker up, worth a shot.

Not long, they just mummify if you are not in a humid place. Gross though. Do what I did and drive on a really curvy road after feeding your kid take out, that dead mouse smell will go away.

Got it! Rat was found in the side kick panel on the passenger side near where the passenger fender and passenger door meets. Just fyi if someone gets a dead body smell ... worth starting there first. Thank you all for the constructive advice.

Poor thing. You and YOUR criminal truck. That specie is on the extinction list. Could have been somebody's pet and now a little girl is crying...

    What all did it chew?

How did it get in there?

Did you have food or spill a drink or something on the floor?

I've heard that the wiring is soy based in the early 3rd gen Tacomas and the animals love it...

I'd be tracing the steps of that who're...
