Nice! Is that a different class than what you've been racing in?

I have a family lunch Saturday until 3 or 4pm but open after that. I think John and I were maybe going to a scope out a place in Denton this weekend.

I went to HT yesterday and picked up a $40 Horizon ESC for the rally car that I could use with the stock Tamiya brushed motor. I left the package sealed but will install today if the stuff doesn't come in from China this afternoon. I might just do it anyway so I can start out with a less powerful car for testing.

Went home for lunch and no notice from the mailman, so i went ahead and opened up the ESC and soldered on a Deans plug. I plugged the servo and ESC into the receiver and made sure everything worked. Servo works, but it has a slight buzz when I move the wheel (maybe end points need adjusting?). I didn't install the motor in the car because lunch break was over. I still need to adjust the settings on the remote but should be able to run the car tonight...finally!

I’ve come to the conclusion servos just make noise if there’s any load on it at all. Mine are only silent where there’s nothing hooked up to it. Then again, I destroy all servos, so maybe that’s just me breaking them....?

Anyways, found a recyclable way for you to up your Tupperware lid @Silverspool .

Well the XV does have a Savox in it...maybe I should let you test the car. If it survives you driving it, I'm confident it'll stand up to anything.

Sounds fun, but I’m tired of buying servos to replace yours that I break!

Were still in the early stages of the protek tests. Took a nasty fall down the hill at WS the other day, and it handled it like a champ, but only time will tell!

I’m refering to the chassis height. I could put some smaller wheel adapters to suck the wheels closer, but I want the ride height lower.

XV01 runs pretty good and no wheels or other parts fell off. I was surprised how quick it is with the stock brushed motor. It may be uncontrollable once it's powered by the brushless.
