Our ESD training is such a joke.

We're only concerned about it in our Test areas, and all of our ESD safeguards are pretty much baked in to the process.

Remember when the 8 mb. SIMM chips came out and cost 4 figures. They came with wrist straps, all chips and components did for installation. Been a long time since I've seen anything ship with them now.

Most places left in the US that I have done work for only do R&D and test in the States. Production has moved overseas for the most part makes you wonder how it is handled on the line overseas.

Thursday I cut through the old IBM manufacturing facility here in town. IBM sold it in February after 50 years of production it used to be gated with guards and you couldn't cut through without a pass and ID.

36 huge blue buildings all interconnected with walkways.

If you don't mind the color blue I know where there is a lot of industrial space available for cheap. Heating in the winter might be a bit of a bitch though.

We do everything here in the States; I suppose that narrows down who I work for pretty well.

I try not to say TOO much, I like being able to bitch without too much repercussion... :anonymous:

Ah, and IBM had some HUGE facilities here in the States back in the way back. There's an old one not too far from Longmont.

Yeah, and that's a real pisser too.

Hypothetically, one would have to cross over into Wyoming to get a freakin' D-60 mag.

    Hypothetically.

One of my neighbors who has since moved to follow the grandkids came here from Co. He grew up in Co. and one of the first conversations we had he said he had to escape from Colorado because of all the foreigners that were moving in. This was almost 15 years ago. I was a little taken aback, he is a bright Ph.D. but very down to earth, worked in Research for diabetes. Has the largest Royal Bull elk mount in his living room I have every seen, never had it scored but it would be high in "The Book". I just couldn't see him being prejudice from what I knew about him.

He mentioned the foreigners several more times and I was getting confused so I finally asked Mexicans? He stared at me like I was crazy and almost yelled hell no, Californians. Said they escaped from Cali then implemented the very same laws and rules that they were running away from, eventually drove him out of there. Just repeating what he said no personal knowledge. Areas I used to hunt in Co. were not like that but been awhile since I drew a Co. tag.

    Morning all

Yes world book, had it. History ended after Nixon
I work for a company that did it all in the states, then slowly morphed into a domestic run, foreign company.

When we bought in Oregon, we were not welcomed by all.
