Ok got it' I do have the new clock Spring. Just received it today. I think I jacked the FFF question up, sorry. So this set up ,4Runner Steering wheel, with CC/ and the RC, that is in this photo should work for this mod ? and this Cruise control unit that's in this wheel, does have (3) three wires coming out of it ? or (2) It looks like 2, but can't see the dam connector, if you look at it pretty close you will know what I mean.
Your photo shows three wires looks like a yellow, red and black. Could this CC be a newer model only having 2 wires ? Or do all the CC have three wires, and I just can't see the dam wires..............

Just wired my 12 Pin Connector, that connects to the back side of the Clock Spring. Added the extra wire. My wires are all diff FFF colors, so I will just have to label them when the time comes.
Picking up the Steering wheel Tomorrow....... Hope to add the 3rd wire Sunday. Going to use those Solder Seal Wire Connectors, that you recommend on the Air bag have a few left, can't solder worth of Crap.......will these work ? Thanks

Jumping ahead here a little, on the radio control Interface, there is a company called Metra, they make the ASWC-1 AXXESS METRA UNIVERSAL OEM STEERING WHEEL CONTROL INTERFACE MODULE, They also make a adapter for the Toyotas, a 24 Pin male white connector, which inserts right into the Female connector, that you should have coming from the newer Tacos stereo harness, or center console harness. Since I do not have that female 24 pin white connector coming out of my System, I bought one and inserted the 3 wires that are required for the SW radio harness. So I need to match the (3) three wires coming out of my clock spring, 12 pin connector the yellow, red and green to the 3 wires from the 24 pin connector. I know, one of them is the ground wire, Black the other two I have no I idea,.? Here is a photo of the layout... if it make any sense at all.......

Hey Jon, No Factory radio........ Its a 1995 1/2 one of the First Tacos ......Had an old CD unit when I bought it way back, have upgraded twice now, my latest HU is a Alpine, Model INE-960S Nav. Good system. The Metra Module has a computer inside of it, all you have to do is hook it up with the 3.5, jack to the back side of the alpine. along with the CS wires, along with power/ ground and it will identify yours system. like: Toyota Tacoma/ Alpine Radio.
So on that diagram, it looks like the wires from the Spiral Cable are AU1, EAU and AU2. So which pins on the SC would they be for me? again, I know one is a ground wire. On yours its shows 3 wires bottom left, it also shows a ground wire for the switches, so would that be 4 wires ? But the Diagram only shows 3 wires - SC to the HU?

I assume this is possible to do on a 2nd Gen? I just want to add the Bluetooth controls on the right side of the steering wheel

I appreciate checking those 3 wires, good luck, I have the new CC all laid out, your correct 3 wires. Red, Black/Silver and Black/White. Adding the third wire procedure, I have a photo. The lay out it just like yours.

Yeah my truck came from the factory with the radio controls. Just wondering howninvolvednitd be to add the bluetooth ones on the right side now. Wondering if i could get lucky and just need the clockspring and switches. Idk if my truck was wired up for them in the column from the factory but just not any further

Don't splice into the connector. Plice into the red wire itself. It's a dead wire in the switch. Connects to absolutly nothing. On the column harness that plgs into the clock spring there is no matching wire. It's an empty hole.
It should be just like in the photo. The extra wire just needs to be added to the column side plug in the hole next to your yellow CC wire. So you'll need to move the blue wire you added. For the interface wires the brown/white (your green wire) is the EAU wire. AU1 my light green and red (your yellow) AU2 my gray/red (your red wire)

The one i have labeled ground for switches that is the ground for the cruise control switch. It also grounds the rest of the switches also.
