I can't figure out how to connect the pc to the truck. Dongles in the obd and cord is connected to pc. And it says on PCMFLASH "USB dongle is not accessible". Can someone help? I followed all the instructions and done everything necessary up until this point.

Yes I did. It reads the the purple dongle that came with the kit fine. But when I plug in the cord and try to connect it to the PC it's giving me the message that it can't read it.

so you have a small purple USB and the large white transparent dongle correct?
This happened to me and it was Windows defender not allowing it. I had to make sure ALL the defender settings were switched to off...everything

Everything is off. I had all the antivirus stuff off in order for the computer to read the purple dongle. I just can't get it to connect to the big white clear one.

For the clear one or purple one? I followed instructions and installed all drivers. Unless there's a different one for the clear one

This. Make sure both software files are installed: OVTSoftPack & PCM Flash software

The purple one. I installed the driver first, then plugged it in. I believe that is the guardant driver. Then I had to exclude my taco tunes folder from windows defender.

Also maybe try running pcmflash as administrator... this may not be an issue/cause for you, but I right clicked the icon and used open as administrator

    Stuck near the beginning.

Computer won’t recognize the purple USB - can’t find it anywhere it’s like it doesn’t exist.

    Steps so far:

    1) Defender/McAffee disabled

    2) downloaded/installed Toyota_Flash_Manager

    3) downloaded/installed OVT_SoftPack

    4) downloaded/installed pcmflash

    5) insert purple USB... nothing

Port is active... I get a little “ding dong” sound every time insert/remove, but nothing shows up anywhere.

Everything in Defender is toggled off.

    Any help much appreciated! Thx

had the same issue this morning, email mat, or follow the directions below, and email the file to Mat.

Run GRDTRU software and send me the first file that it creates,

you can use this link to download GrdTru https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0...63-97be-e9696b880d7d.exe?11382916429414383043

run GrdTru with the purple usb stick plugged in (or if your kit came with the mini black usb, plug that in)
then click next on start a new session
you will see it generates a code, click the "save" button to save it and send us the text file that it generates

What a upgrade from stock. Just installed 91 tune 1.04 well never go back to stock tune unless I'm trading it in. Hopefully we get a more aggressive tune in the future.

Why would trading it in make any difference?

    Yep, same issue.
Matt did email this morning the 'fix' that I have not tried yet...same one as mentioned right above from other member.
If you do it today, let me know if it works. I might attempt to do it later today.
Gotta take wife to the farmers market.

Gotta take her in for the 10,000 mile checkup. Debating if I should flash back to stock or not. Lol. The dealership is only two miles away so I wouldn’t have to deal with it too long. Anyone had their truck back to the dealer with the tune?
