Yup 5160's. They're reasonably priced (for a remote res shock) and stay close to the 14.2" collapsed of my current 5100's, while still offering a longer extended travel than many offerings I looked at.

Well I finally took the rear mud flaps off so I’m ready with inches of clearance. Lol...

@Casper, like the soft top. You put anything in bed rails like high lift bracket or something?

Spent a couple of hours waxing on her today. No glamour shots. Just a couple of garage quickies.

Looking at rear bumpers since mine was hit and damaged. I like the look and price of the All-Pro and the SOS is priced good and looks pretty good too. Any other recommendations? I assume with most I’ll have to ditch my factory tow package? I don’t want to pay too much more than the $650 that the other two are because of shipping and powder coating that are added on to that. Just want to be sure I’m not missing something. I have looked at Pelfreybuilt(I like but is a little more), Relentless, CBI, KB, Southern Style, 4X, Mobtown (I ilke, but is a little much). Thanks!

Since my son no longer drives the Tacoma (long story, but likely familiar to many), ownership has returned to me. Noticed a bit of dirt/rocks in the spare tire - so just spend 4 hours de-mudding and de-rocking the truck today. Here is a phone of what was found on top of the spare.

Oh there will be some mods all right
I don't have the 4x innovations bumper but am considering it if/when I ditch the stock one because it has a DOT rated Class 3 hitch receiver built in. I don't wanna be without a hitch nor do I wanna have to purchase something else to bolt on along with the bumper.

I highly recommend fluid filming the spare, the chain, and the mechanism to keep it looking and working well.

99% finished mounting my Slee rear bumper today
Pulled off the rear bumper last night and installed the new mounting plates and rear bumper and half Azzed mounted it. This morning I finished bolting it down and then bolted on the swing arm wired the license plate light and other crap that needed to be finished. Still need to relocate the back up camera and finish adjusting the latch mechanism. Other than that super happy with it. It fit's nice and tight against the truck so it still fits in the garage with it's little sister... Still have the stock rear leaf springs they gotta be screaming at this point the only help they have is a shackle flip and sumo springs bumps which is whats holding the rear of the truck up at this point! Need to get my RXT leafs in and ADS Suspension next.... I will post some better pics tomorrow right now it's :cheers::cheers: time lol....

I sound deadened my doors and have some left over... there’s still some rattle with the plastic door pabel when bass hits at certain times...

is it worth using the leftover sound deadener on the inside of the door panel (plastic) to reduce that??

The system is the OEM entunes or whatever upgrade they had when I bought it FWIW

He gets the penance of seeing it in the driveway everyday, but not driving it anymore. And his current non-truck vehicle is spotless as that is where he spends his cleaning time. Thanks.

And he is still making monthly "truck payment" to pay off last year's repairs.
