    Just the basics
I'm in the same boat. Really like my Wheelers ones but no idea how the ride on Timbrens are. I think Timbren makes different versions too.

Heli medics use something similar. Maybe use one of those?

I might drive the south half on my way back up in June. The north half is supposed to get pretty rough and impassable.

Yeah the north is where I heard the horror stories from. One group made it as far as the swamps and the bugs forced them to call for help, they all got bad sick. There are abandoned trucks all along the road cause they couldn't get them out after all the bridges washed out

I always found it funny that we biuld these contraptions with 3000+ hp at 78,000 rpm going into a 400 lbs transmission that spins a rotor head with 4 blades that have 7 tons each of centrifugal force on them.....then we make a composite box 1 foot beneath all of with three morons riding in it thinking we are safe lol

True, welding hat and an air compressor nozzle make quick work of that though.

For the record, the welding hat was not part of the original list on the first attempt. I regretted that omission.

The heli pilots I know are the ones with the most morbid understanding of how fragile helicopters are. Some can take a proper beating, but autorotate can only get you so far when things go pear shaped.

Edit: If you have ever seen the complex transfer case for the engines on a V-22 that allow them to swivel and share power...that will make you pucker up.

Close to full moon here in Utah. 62 degrees, nice and peaceful. I can see Mars, Venus, and Mercury in the western sky.

Fukengruven in Utah, this 5000lb vehicle actually climbs well. This is a nice camping/glamping unit. It's been 24 years between my '67 Westfalia and this, forgot how nice it is to have a self-contained camping unit.

I'll have to get a fukengruven sticker for the rear window.

I've posted this over at wander the west but I'll ask it here as well since there's a larger group on this forum...

I'm getting Four Wheel Camper Swift installed next Friday (It has some options so it'll be pushing 11-1200 lbs I'm sure), it'll be sliding in a 2011 Tacoma Double Cab Offroad. I bought the truck new and pretty much from the start have had fox 2.0 coil overs with remote resevoirs up front and 2.0's in the rear with good year duratrac's. Truck has always ran great but was never good at hauling a load in the bed not even a light load and my truck never qualified for the leaf spring recall. Last week I changed out the front to Fox 2.5's with remote reservoirs (That's another story), OME Dakar Heavy Duty springs with add a leafs and firestone air bags with daystar cradles in the rear. I also installed the OME carrier bearing drop kit.

Since I'm currently riding around with no camper installed there's quite a bit of forward rake which is what I expected. Only issue I've encountered is what feels like a slight vibration in the rear from the drive line at around 5-7mph. I called a drive line shop and asked if I should hold off on shims until after the camper is installed as it will level the truck off quite a bit i'm sure. The guy thought that was probably the best idea as he thought it might bring the frame of the truck back down a bit. If there's still a vibration he suggested to remove the carrier bearing first and see if it helps before going the shim route.

Anyone else run into this issue and have it resolve itself once the camper was installed?

Why don't you just go find 1200 lbs of weight and put it back there and see how it drives. Are the fox 2.5 valved for the heavier springs and more weight or valved for stock springs and an empty bed?

Or are they adjustable so it doesn't matter?

If I knew somebody who would gently load a pallet I'd give it a go but nobody cares when you back your truck up to get it loaded, learned that the hard way with a pallet of firewood and a Chevy I used to have. The springs will squat for sure once the camper is loaded in.

I'll have to wait till next Friday to see if anything changes, more or less was curious if anyone had a similar issue. Plenty of threads with people having issues after their lift but I couldn't find any where the problem went away after the bed of the truck was loaded which is to be expected.

Thanks, I'm looking forward to it for sure, I've spent so many days/nights sleeping on the ground or in the bed of my truck chasing Steelhead for the past 9 years It'll be luxury to me for sure!
