Hello everyone. Getting ready to install my fogs in my SR tomorrow. Was going to use @Nitori method but the fam actually was listening when I mentioned I wanted fogs lights for truck. I appreciate them for listening. They bought me this set from ebay [IMG]$69 2016-2017 TOYOTA TACOMA BUMPER DRIVING FOG LIGHTS LAMP YELLOW W/BLACK BEZEL+BULBhttps://www.ebay.com/itm/2016-2017-...e=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I also read @moe2o4 writeup and watched Youtube videos on installing lights ---(only found one SR fog install (linked) and the rest are light bar vids) This kit comes with the lights (H11), bezel, OEM style switch, wiring harness. The harness has an inline fuse and relay...(I assume that will handle the power to lights)?? I am pre-wired but realize that ship has sailed with this kit.

Am I correct in thinking all I need to buy is fusetap and fuse (at switch)? Do I need a 5 amp fuse? Also what fuse do you recommend I tap into from inside the truck?

Thanks for any advice you can give have...I not messed with wiring in a long time.

Yes your fog lights will be powered through the inline fuse and relay from the battery. The switch will only power the relay coil which requires very little power. I would use an add-a-fuse like this: https://www.amazon.com/Add-Fuse-same-function-Bussmann/dp/B007FFG5YI instead of a tap which will spread your existing contacts. I'd look for a fuse that is switched with your ignition or taillights so you can't accidentally leave your fog lights on and drain your battery. If you use the add a fuse your fuse box cover won't fit anymore so I recommend checking this out if you still want a cover: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/custom-fuse-cover-extended-height.519448/

You can get the add a fuse local like auto zone, but my auto zone link wouldn't work so I found another.

Got the fog lights installed on my SR. Went ahead and put china pro grill on also. The kit is pretty straight forward. The light trim fits pretty good but not as tight as a stock one would. H11 bulb seems to work good...also like the color of light also. Will keep an eye out for OEM light trim. Only cause I can be picky at times. Taking the old trim off was pain in butt... Had to shove arm in from top and feel around to get the snaps out. Also fished the wire thru the bumper (internal bumper not cover) using two metal coat hangers. Used add a circuit and connected to switch fuse so won't accidentally leave on and drain battery. Would have been a quicker install had it not started raining on me. Had to stop for a while..a couple times.

Looks good. Hands down getting the old covers out was the hardest part of this install for me. So many clips for a 4"x5" bit of plastic.
