Here's mine, Icons gave me just a shade over 2.5" of lift.

I don't think any of the trucks in this thread look goofy, but to each their own. I really don't know how mine relates to factory height exactly, because I have Bilstein 5100s up front on the middle setting and Hellwig helper springs in the back cranked up almost to max, but I do have 31X10.5s.

Oops - I thought he was asking in a "generally speaking" kind of way.

3rd gens are a little taller anyway, if 31s look goofy on a lifted truck it would really show on these.

From this angle the 31s look small to me with a 3" lift.

35s are on my list but I never really have minded my 31s, just want a smoother ride. Both trucks I've had have had 265/75-16s and they look pretty decent.

From what I've seen, it doesn't look that bad at all.
Now I wanna go back to 31 tall and skinny.

I’m not sure how you guys can run 33s on a 3 inch lift and only have minor rubbing. I’ve got 2.5-3” lift and 275/70r17 and rub a lot. That’s even with some cutting and pounding on the fender. My next tires will be the 265/70r17s for sure. Also I think that you can get away with smaller tires without them looking small if you go with a smaller wheel size like a 15-16. The more rubber makes em look bigger IMO.

Caster is your friend, gotta have the alignment on point for only bashing to clear 33s. Also stock backspacing won't clear either. 3.5" BS minimum. I'm shooting up to 35s, so I'll be cutting out quite a bit of my firewall :/

I’ve just got a shitty Firestone alignment so that probably doesn’t help. I need to find a good shop. I’m not sure what the BS is on my wheels.

Your trucks gonna look sweet on 35s!

To the OP...been running 265/75/16's for three years now, with an OME lift (883 coils, HD Dakar leafs out back with Timbren bump stops), as well as steel sliders, ARB bumpers, Warn 8000 winch, and Bud Built skids...with all that weight I have been really happy with my mileage (16's highway, 14's city) and performance of the truck.

I paid around $1,400 for my lift through Wheeler's Off Road...and received great customer service from them.

I know OME isn't as sexy as other lift considerations (King, Fox, ICON), but reliability was the lead factor in my choice of manufacturer.

ARB products just fit (for me), and the lift was no different.

Much like the ARB bumper I purchased, the kit was a relatively quick install and has given me no trouble at all.

    IMG_0045.jpg

Off road plenty capable through the local deserts, Death Valley, etc.

    IMG_9449.jpg

Pleased with the aesthetics, and sticking with a smaller tire hasn't hurt my ego at all.

Plenty of pull in OD and no problems getting up to 80/90 mph on those long drives to Utah/Colorado.

Yep, looks goofy, but it has nothing to do with the size of the tires. ;)

I have 33x1050s and while I feel they look too skinny, it’s definitely a perk that they don’t rub on anything.

So maybe a skinnier tire would be better? The 275s are only 11.2 wide I think. Whatever 27.5cm to inches is.

Mine also previously had 33x10.50r15s, the PO did the pinch weld "mod" and there's plenty of clearance.

255/85r16 would be the closest metric equivalent. A lot of folks are running those and they look badass. That said, I'm happy with the way the 31s look. The truck just feels like it's in the power band a lot more with the shorter tires.
