I installed my shocks around December 24, 2017. I also installed a 1/4” top plate spacer on both sides hoping for an extra ~1/2” of lift

Measurements up in front then were roughly:
    21.25 driver front
    21.5 passenger front

    Current measurements are
    21 DF
    21.5 PF

How do you like the AAL's? I've heard some make it ride better.

Good to see this is still going and helping people! Didn't know if this was going to just get swept under the rug.

Sorry I've been gone for a bit y'all. Been going through a huge inspection at work and haven't had much free time. I'm curious as how they settle over time as well. I know personally after about 1000 miles it seems to have settled very little if at all. The ride is still great! I've noticed on some very rough rail road crossings that it goes over much smoother and more settled. Best way I can explain it. I haven't done any serious off roading yet sadly. But some of the gravel roads I have taken with bad washboarding seems smoother as well.

I don't know how it compares to 5100's or others. But for the price you can easily get a whole 3rd gen setup almost new for one pair of 5100's. I really want to get 6112/5160 combo when I am ready for a real lift, but this will do for now and for much cheaper! I still get a little uneasiness or bounciness (if thats a word, haha) from the rear, but I think that is more spring related. Still much better than before and once I put a little weight in the back it smooths out.

dont mean to hijack. do i have a TSB in my 2015 dcsb 4x4? i counted 4 leaves. 3 large together and 1 small separate. if not, will it prevent the bro-lean on a leveled?

    Question:

If 3rd gens are set up ~1” taller than 2nd gens, does that mean 3rd gen UCAs would help on a lifted 2nd gen? o_O

You have the tsb leafs. Depending on what leveling kit will depend on the bro-lean.

i have 5100s all around. stock coils and leaves. now i rarely haul heavy stuff in the back but would like the rear to be stiffer and not sag when loading 20 gallon of water or pulling a trailer. would i be able to add a leaf on a TSB?

Yes you can do the aal my 15 came with the new spring design an I have the icon progressive aal. Rides smoother than stock I kept the overload leaf out an got 1.5 in lift. I will be having it put back in once I get my rear bumper.

Yup I have one in my. If you add an aal you might consider putting the 5100 on the first or second clip to keep it close to the stock rake.

Adding the aal will give you rake but IMHO I think the truck looks better with rake.

Ok. maybe i should just leave it alone then. im content on how looks already. ill see how long i like the levelled look. if i decide to go back to rake stance, ill just put back the old stock shocks and get rid of the set of 5100s.

That's the exact reason I went with the longer 36" AAL. I drive over railroad tracks every day and most days hit a pothole or 2. I installed 5100's in the rear only about 6 months ago hoping to fix some of the harshness and clunking going on back there. The shocks only didn't help, but after the AAL it rides significantly better!

I have just under 500lbs in the back here

5.5 lift front 4 rear on 33s with an endless amount more work to do
So on my 06 prerunner with stock struts up front and lift spindles will the bilsteins off a 3rd gen give me another inch of lift? I like where it rides right now. But I did see a set of bilsteins off a 15 TRD offroad on cl. Would those give me the same ride height?

Thanks for the clarification. I like my prerunner at the height it is but the bilsteins will ride a lot better than my worn out original kybs

Especially if you go with off road setup. If you go with the sport setup it will be fairly stiff.
