My Ford allows me to roll up and down the windows for about 10 minutes after shutting off the ignition.......that is an appreciated feature that I wish my Taco had. Also, the 12V accessory socket in the Ford remain live, always.

I imagine it eats through batteries pretty quick?

Not that I’ve ever found. I leave a USB charger plugged in 24/7 and never had the Ford battery go flat, even over a couple weeks of no driving.

If I’m parking my Taco for a few weeks, I’d be ok with Toyota trusting me to unplug any 12V accessories, but clearly they don’t see it that way.

I think we get 30 or 60 seconds after turning the key off.

That's not how this works. The maps on a navi unit are on a micro SD card in the bottom right of the unit . The GPS service itself requires no data and simply plots the coordinates on those maps. Any poi data is static and never updates. The maps also don't update without changing the card.

If you connect the entune software, you can get info about fuel prices and other info that will use your phone's data.

Like I said earlier I've seen the videos if CC, but never used it or seen it in action personally. I have no doubt that it works, but I have yet to see in person or in video if it is leaps and bounds more productive than a person that knows how to wheel in a manual.

I would venture to guess that CC certainly helps those in an AT for sure, as you can see in all videos.

I'm still not sure what you can do in a manual that someone can't do in an auto. You said force it to stay in first gear? You can do that in an auto via s-mode. If that's your only argument, then since an auto can do that in addition to crawl control, the auto will be more capable.

A navigation unit that actually works, plastic that doesent scratch when you look at it wrong, a outlet that works when the truck is off, a divider/organizer for the center console. A proper transmission tune.

It would be cool if the Tacoma had an engine/ drivetrain that could defy the laws if physics.

I plan on keeping my current truck till 2036, so hopefully by then, the Tacoma will have the EmDrive engine.......

This sounds crazy but I wished my 2018 OR didn't have all this electronic crap like TSS and DRCC. It does encourage driving and texting for all you millennials. Lol. But seriously, they should've made a lowballer edition with basic controls, MT and roll up windows. Lol.

dimmer switch is in the dash next to the odometer display....took me forever to find it. Just twist the stem to dim the lights.
