Limited choices on manual transmission

Something about the smell of petroleum is just appealing to me, and the sound of a gasoline engine....tis a pity that it is all going away.

But I am sure there were people who also liked the smell of horses and horse manure back in the day....lol!

 

Self driving vehicles scare they hell out of me. They can put all that BS where the sun don’t shine. Bad enough they’re trying to take my 3rd pedal, now they want the steering wheel too. Nope. Not me.

 

The new Supra "supercar" is not available with a manual, just to show you how little demand there is for them. It sucks.

 

Most 18 wheelers are coming with auto transmissions now. Writing has been on the wall for manuals for some time. I'm just glad I got to own several in my time. Never a minutes trouble, my automatic damn well better go hundreds of thousands of miles without a hiccup. I know it won't though because anytime they "improve" something all that means is they just shortened the life and made it less reliable. When you hear "new and improved" run like hell.

 

There's still plenty of people around who like horses, I'm sure in the future there'll be gas powered vehicle enthusiasts who find a way to keep it alive.
