URD Y-Pipe: Report

• Quality of parts top-notch.
• Install pretty easy, however I had to drill out the bolt holes in the cat pipes in order to get it to bolt up properly.
• Assembling all the pipes together was a little difficult but this is mainly do to the really well measured (tight tolerances) parts. Everything ends up fitting together fantastically after you coax it.
• Before 4000 rpms the driving sound isn't that noticeably different, after 4000 this thing is extremely loud now.
  
• Happy to be rid of the stupid exhaust that drops down under the frame now. (My main reason for wanting this)

First impressions leave me pretty satisfied. We'll see how everything does after I get a few miles on it and re-torque the hardware.

Butt dyno hasn't noticed much power increase, but throttle response is very nice now.

The fact that you have to drill into it, is very disappointing. I have the spec-u exhaust and it fits like shit.

I had the y pipe for the second gen. I’d expect better quality from URD.

 

Is the rest of exhaust stock? Surprised it is that loud after 4K.

 

No sir, I've got a 3 inch MBRP on the back. That may be some of it.

 

This is supposed to be v2.0 too. It wasnt a deal breaker, but I trashed a drill bit getting it to size. That material is super dense.
