Just found this thread. Look exactly like the solution I'm looking for. Any chance you can get the 80/20 in Black?

Unfortunately no. I can however have it powder coated if you want for an upcharge of $50. I’ve done it for others.

Edit: worded weird. It comes from the vendor in anodized aluminum and that’s how we sell it too. But we can get it powder coated if you want for a fee of $50.

Wouldn't this work? Or are you using a stiffer aluminum?

It would be we do not buy from 80/20, we buy from another vendor who makes the same stuff for half the price but they do not offer it in any finish other than the anodized aluminum.

OK, so went through this thread and didn't see anything about and option for a full roof height bar. Is this something you guys might be looking into? I currently don't have a roof rack, and would like to start hauling my 2 stand up paddle boards on a raised rack. I really like these mounts. Don't trust the OEM roof racks to hold the boards.

    Thank you

I tried getting them to make a similar product but cab high. They said there would be way to much sway as it was raised up like that.

    Hi All,

So i'm using mine mostly for my (4) bike racks and that's not all the time.
The setup look weird and sometimes block me from using my truck at it's full potential.

Then an idea.. i ordered some black anodized T-Slot extrusion (1.5") and cut to fit between the two support. Also cut spacer (1/4" thick) to allow some clearance between the bars and the supports.

Some more squares to finish the extrusion ends and Voila..
It's also so much nicer in black.. i might have to paint the original ones since they will be dedicated, no more "sliding" on them as the bike racks will be permanent and easy to swap the small bars for the originals with the 4 screws. :)

    Eric

Should be end of this week or early next. Last few parts are scheduled to return from powder any day.

Doubt it. We have such a backlog that it wouldn’t be wise to discount and extend lead times even more.

Saw it posted earlier but don’t see a response. Will these work with a Bakflip MX4 cover?

OEM rails lowered and attach at bottom of cover rails.

    Thanks

Wait, am I “special?” I can’t figure out why you did this...what’s the advantage of running the bars parallel with the bed instead of perpendicular?

Those of you using these for a RTT, when you take the RTT off, do you keep it attached to the cross bars and just remove from the supports? Or do you detach the RTT from the cross bars itself.

Thinking it may be a bit difficult to thread the bars with the RTT on them.
