Just some 35% tint to match the rears and some 285/70/17 Falkens…
Recently picked up a 2018 Tacoma TRD OffRoad Double Cab (Premium) in Quicksand.

First and foremost, the automatic transmission seems fine and smooth. I read lots of complaints, but quite honestly, it’s a 4x4 truck. It’s not a Mustang GT. Enough on that.

Loving the fact that it has a power sliding rear window. Wow. The simple things in life...

The JBL Audio is very impressive. I listen to AM radio half the time, so it fulfills my needs. Plenty of bass, and no need to upgrade the stereo with amps and subwoofers.

The leather interior? How awesome that they offered that w the OffRoad package. I know in 2016, they didn’t. It looks very sharp, and feels great.

Also, all the safety features? I think they’re well-designed and much needed. I also like the look of the new blacked out grilles for 2018. Toyota finally got rid of the “braces look” from 2016-2017. Lol

All I did was put some Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tires on along with some TRD Pro 17” rims, a black vinyl decal on the TACOMA stamped tailgate, and she ready to roll. Oh, I also updated the headlights and fog lights w 5000K LED versions. Simple fix, and gives it a more modern look. Those yellow old-school bulbs had to go.

I’m thinking I’ll get around 250K miles out of my retirement present to myself. I hope...

    Thoughts? Input? Be safe everyone...✌️

A little unfair for all ppl purchased old 16s & 17s without those premium stuffs. Had to pay more to get those fancy things ( leather seats, jbl, safety sensors..) while 18s come at standard.

    Only 250k??

Also, if you ever get tired of the engine/tranny combo, there’s always a tune!

You still need to pay extra for the niceties if you want them, only the TSS stuff is Standard Equipment on the 18s.

It's not standard on the 18's. It's part of premium and tech packages. But yea I agree, it sucks for 16 and 17 owners that wanted leather. There are alternatives, clazzio/katzkin if you want leather though.

Also, '18 TRD DBSB AT OR but cement. Toyed with changing the stock wheels on mine. At least derping/painting/vinyl to get rid of the little chrome that was on them. But after getting positive comments on them from women, I am going to leave them be. Seems only men like the blackout wheels look.

Also, men seem to like the cement color. All the complement about that color seems to come from men. Should have chosen another color.

And yeah, love my truck. Everything about it. JBL is just fine. Engine is just fine. Transmission doesn't bother me at all. MPG even getting awesome. Last tank was 24 MPG.

    I love this truck.
