My weekend was spent aboard this, planting beans! Hope we get rain soon!

Mine was custom built. No kit

 

Supposed to storm like an SOB Tuesday night and Wednesday. Already got alerts out! Trying to get all the ground that gets wet and stays wet done.

 

We priced it out to do it without the kit, and th kit was cheaper, so we rolled with it.

Damn at that turf!

 

I started by making a 4'x4' platform. Dug down 4" and leveled it. Added 2" of compacted and leveled paver stone, followed by 1" of compacted and leveled paver sand. I then laid down 9 16"x16" pavers to form the base. I locked them in place with paver locks to prevent migration.

The pit walls are just 36 rounded landscape blocks. The bowl is a 36" steel pit that I bought at Lowes and just left off the legs.

I'm off tomorrow. So I've got the pit locked and loaded for tonight

Me too . My neighbors say I make their lawns jealous ! My back yard has since been ruined by my 2 German Shepard’s .. the good parts are fenced off from them . Might as well have 2 horses .

 

It has begun
