    With the OVTune you first save your original tune files. If you think it would be a warranty issue you could always flash the original files back in.
    The truck will down shift below 5 but your really have to mash it.

    Sorry if I missed it answered elsewhere in the thread, hard to catch up on 50+ pages. If I don't run 91/93 Octane is there still an 87 Octane tune? All I see on the OVTune website is 91. Is there any solution for mac users, will the program run under Parallels or am I stuck trying to find the cheapest windows laptop around which would probably push the total cost over 1k.

    I just want to like driving my truck, right now I kinda wish I had snagged a 4 Runner with the 4.0

    Yes im running the 87 tune and man you love it and wont want to sell it. Im very happy now with its driving.

    With OVTune + 91 octane my truck drives as well as my friends T4R Pro, actually is more fun to me b/c of how fun it is to drive higher revving. No tune will give you the low-end grunt of the 4.0 but it comes close to overcoming for that and the gains in the mid-range are very usable and makes it a blast to drive IMO.

    That said, I seriously don't know how I drove it for 10k miles w/o OVTune and if I could give one bit of advice to folks it would be to BUY the TUNE before the "new truck amazement" subsides and you inevitably begin to get annoyed with the shifting behavior and sluggish/delayed throttle response.

    I second that. Tune as soon as possible and engine will not annoy you anymore

    For those that have the tune, have you Seen any changes in your MPG?

    Considering this since I’m getting larger tires but don’t want to take a hit on tires AND the tune. Lol.

    I’ve been getting 19-21mpg with 1.04 91 tune. Some of that is having warm weather again, but overall it’s the best mod you can do to this truck.

    Thank you, I’ve grown rather interested especially with the new tires coming in. I can’t imagine the stock tune enjoying larger tires lol.

    Im was at 15mpg yesterday. I keep adding weight and drag :D. 175 watt panel on my stainless rack. The truck bed is full with work gear too. I won’t have a dead battery any time soon.
