    Hey guys I'm new to this I have a 2013 toyota tacoma prerunner sr5. I know it's not 4x4 but I love my truck never had anything this nice. Please give me opinions on my truck and what I should do to it next. Thanks guys20180424_220210.jpg

    I want to get rid of the chrome to buy just got the truck last week and put new tires and rims on it but the truck is metallic grey

    Which all that cost alot of money eventually I will do alot more to it but just dropped a good bit on rims and tires

    I know it's nothing like what u guys got but I plan on doing some upgrades to it slowly but this is the first car or anything I've been able to buy and add a little stuff to it.

    Take your time and have fun with it... there is no rush! Truck looks great.

    As far as the best way to remove chrome.... Buy black parts (black or color matched grille surround would look good). Remove chrome badges. Its what I would do. :cheers:

    Yes I want the chrome badges gone for sure and do u have a website or place to recommend to buy the painted parts? And best way to remove badges is it hard to do?

    I don't own a second gen myself, but your best bet would be to use the search bar in the top right corner. Tons of useful info on here to get you exactly what you are looking for.

    I removed my badges using a hairdryer and dental floss! lol my badges came off rather easily since my truck was brand new.

    Welcome! Removing badges is pretty easy. Just heat them up with a heat gun or blow dryer and use fishing line to slide behind the badge and remove it from the vehicle. Then use goo gone to remove the residue and wax the area.

    You can paint or plastidip the chrome bumper. I removed mine and sprayed it with primer, then used Rusteum truck bed coating on it.

    Sure, you can find painted bumpers or aftermarket steel/aluminum bumpers or even paint your own bumper. The possibilities are endless :thumbsup:
