Your asking the wrong person on that one, you guys are all backwards with your leaf.:anonymous:

4runners have coils, unless SAS them.

Not enough to have a build thread.
Need more info. Why would you want an AAL in the first place?

An AAL will stiffen your leaf pack. A stiffer lead pack will cause you to ride higher (add lift).

I'm considering adding an AAL to my dakars.
When I'm loaded down with my camping gear, I sit fairly low.

As long as they are somewhat on there and won’t fall off while driving it should be good. I will be later in the day.

For that reason exactly! I want to add a slight lift. I want to start adding a rack/gear to the back in the near future.

Run it up behind the tail light up high. No need to drill, several existing fastener options.

An AAL should accomplish that. I would start looking into whole leaf packs eventually though. With how notoriously weak tacoma leaf packs are, an AAL tends to be a band aid, aka a temporary fix.

I don't have plans on putting an RTT in the immediate future but until that time comes - I will hold off on the leaf pack.

Yeah, I think I’m going to zip tie it somewhere up and out of the way instead of drilling.

Bought my ECGS bushing, so if I have time and get to that huzzah!

Looks like more people may show up than I thought, bout to go ham on some burgers*

I am 85% sure I will be making it out there and should be arriving at 0800 or slightly after. I can help out as much as I can! Just tell me what bolts to loosen or hold up and I am your guy lol. I do - need to hit up an alignment shop before they close on Sat though? (Maybe?)

When i took my truck to a local alignment place after i got some new shoes they had like a 2 hour wait. Luckily i lived down the street and just walked home/rode my bike back later.

So you may want to consider making an appointment somewhere local to Having Fun's house. They might know someone nearby who they prefer... or for all i know we can ghetto align you to get you home and you can do it on local on sunday.

What tools should I bring fellas? I have several jack stands (4) as well as pair of rhino ramps - I don't have much on the wrench side of things as my garage is frankenstein-y. I seem to have 80 wrenches that are all the same friggin size.

Making an appt isn't a bad idea. I just didn't want to put a time on when I would need to be out of there by - especially if I am helping someone else out. @HAVING FUN is there a shop near you that you recommend? If anything I can drop it off and then hitch a ride back and help while they align my taco?

Sorry guys, had to go to Oakland and pu the work truck hopefully, trying to keep up to this.

@roguegs would be advisable to get an appt setup prior, earlier the better.
Best on I have had decent experience is LES SHWAB, hwy 99/ Florin rd. Setup an afternoon appt 3-4.
