I don't think they were talking about the air dam but the front bumper insert. Making black like the ORs.

I agree about the air dam though.

Looks great, nice job. How's the process of plastidipping the bumper and tailgate like that? I'm thinking of doing the same at some point.

Much better now!! How many coat did you applied? Also did you add glossifier after or just normal plasti dip?

I've done this front bumper insert in the past but finally i've remove it because i was not satisfed of how it looks but i want to do it again and yours looks really great compare to the oem one.

Just over two cans worth on the amount of coats- not even sure. I only did the regular black plasti dip- no glossifier or anything. I like it a lot on how it turned out but will see on durability. I just went lightly over the area every few minutes while I did my differential breather mod and put spacers on my driver seat mod :) Ohhhh yeah, and worked a little on my led bed light mod just making the zip ties and install cleaner

I did my tailgate several weeks ago, to see if it would grow on me, and surprisingly, I like the look. My only downfall is the lack of sharp edges. I'm not a painter by trade, but do know stuff about paint. This was my first time to use the plastidip and it pulled the edges some. What can you do to prevent that from happening? It took about 5 coats for it to be fully covered, and I had read where you should pull the tape before it dried?? What about the 4 other coats that have been applied??

It doesn't really dry / cure until well after the coats are applied. You'd want to pull the masking just after your last coat.

Pretty simple just make sure you tape off areas you don’t want ovesprayed it’s easier to peel off the areas with more coats rather than areas that is just over sprayed with light coats

I don't see a ton of people derping their BBP trucks, let's change that. I did my emblems a few months ago, but just found this thread. Bumper caps are next.
