New England B.S. Thread

Anybody have a recommendation for a shop in the Central to Boston, MA area? I'm in Framingham. My next mod is to put on some sliders. I'm most likely going to be weld on to save some money. I'm looking for a place to do put them on for a fair price. A plus if they can bedline/paint/powdercoat at the same place. Thanks

 

Mine's on Johnson's lot. I'm still surprised they put it out with how many miles I had.

 

yeah I saw that. When I was there looking at f150s they were saying they always love having the Tacomas on the lot cause they have always pulled a good profit off of them. If it was any other truck they probably would have punted it to the auctions

 

He thought they'd auction mine, but did comment it's worth a "ton of money". Gave me about what a connection at Toyota offered me 6 months before, so I think he was fair. Could have sold it for maybe $2k more privately, but then I have the hassle and lose the tax benefit.

 

I needed mine for the down payment on the 4runner. Couldn't swing the potential 2 car payments (even for a little while) plus insurance. Then have to deal with the hassle of paying off Toyota and such. Kind of liked the one stop in out they pay off the truck. I've never did a private sale of a car with a loan on it either so not to sure how that goes.

I probably could have gotten a couple grand more going private sale but would have had to leave a lot of the aftermarket parts on there. End of the day was just easier going through the dealer and I made out ok on trade

Shit, I got my trade quote with the cap on. One place didn't say anything about it, the other offered me the same trade value but told me that's with the cap. I sold it while waiting for my truck to be delivered and the traded it. It was with the place that didn't specify to keep it, but would have done either place. I figured if they made a stink, I would walk till the saw it my way.

 

What’d you get for trade if you don’t mind me asking? Mine is essentially the same thing but with 51k on it and seeing that they’re selling it for just shy of 26k I’m curious what the trade offer was. Been contemplating hard on a F150
