Nice rig! Wifey is an RVSR and sent me the photo of your truck saying “hey, that’s what mine used to look like”

I have a rubicon on 37’s that I use for all the wheeling/camping and such now. Had some issues with the tacoma breaking down on me so I gave it to the wife and put the gear on an offroad trailer to tow behind the Rubi or taco if need be.

just across border of mexico getting loaded up because truck was stuck in 4LO

Couple weeks later sand from the beach deteriorated the drums to the point where the cylinder punctured and all break fluid leaked out leaving me stranded once again... in the desert...
    FE9AF5D3-21E5-4799-AD9E-48CC1547ABD5.jpg

So now I run this and the Taco is a pavement queen for the most part.

She wanted a softer ride as the suspension I had on it was setup for all the gear (ome 866 + dakars) so I “upgraded” her to ICON’s which I later found out are digressive and thus don’t provide softer ride on road... Anyways, always a good time with the Taco.

Yeah, I started offroading in a 2wd, manual, 94 toyota pickup that was bulletproof. And was kind of expecting the same from this taco... I have not had any issues with the jeep yet (knock on wood,) but I did go overboard on the upgrades to make it so. From steering and full tub skids to trusses and chromoly shafts with 5.38 gears... we’ll see in the long run. I have 65k miles on my ‘16 taco and only 25k on my ‘16 rubi that I got less than a year ago. We’ll see how it’s doing 40k miles from now. (So in a year or so)
