I know we all love the V6, etc. But I am looking to add a second 3rd gen to our fleet for our farm.

I am getting the following prices. Any thoughts from 4 cyl owners? I wanted SR, but 4 door SR around here are special order only. They are saying for 4 door best price is SR5, and Access Cab best price is SR.

Appreciate thoughts from the 4 CYL crowd:

    1) 2018 Access Cab, 2wd, 4 cyl, AT
SR Access Cab with Convenience package.
    MSRP is $26,425.00
    Sale Price is $24,791.41
    Invoice is $25294.42

    2) 2018 Double Cab, 2wd, 4 cyl, AT , SR5
    MSRP is $29,647.00
    Sale Price is $27,460.00
    Invoice is $27,960.00

I don't know where you're located, but you're about $1k over on pricing from what I've seen.

Appreciate it. I usually buy truck out of state, but I am out of the country, so I need to buy Local (CA), so one of our employees can just pick it up. After talking to 8 dealers, this is the best so far:

    1) 2018 4 CYL DOUBLE CAB SR5

    MSRP 29088
    INTERNET PRICE 26450

    2) SR ACCESS CAB 4 CYl
    MSRP 26653
    INTERNET PRICE 24450

I have a 2017 SR5 double cab 4cyl, but that looks like about the same price I was getting quoted by LA dealers (~9% of MRSP).

Thank you. I have emailed from SD all the way up to Nor Cal... and $2638 off MSRP has been the best on the Sr5 Double Cab 4 cyl

My dealer quoted me $23711 for SR access cab 2wd with utility package. I went with 4wd in the same exact setup and it was $25500. The 4cyl in the SR access cab is actually very enjoyable to drive, I have zero complaints or regrets whatsoever. I wouldn't want to have this engine in a double cab but that's just my preference. It's perfectly suited for an access cab and if you get the utility package you shed some weight which helps.

We also have a 2001 Double Cab with the 2.7L. It is a great engine, albeit slow in the 4 door configuration.

We can't have the utility package, as I have farm workers that need to be transported short distances in the back.

Mine is used as my personal vehicle as well as my pine tree farm so it sees it's fair share of woods and off road. I've never driven a 2.7 in a double cab so I can't say for sure how it feels. I do know the auto seems to pair well with the 2.7 and doesn't rob it of power at all, always seems to be in the right gear. I wanted a manual so me singing the praises of the auto is a high compliment. I like this engine more than the 22re in my 95 I had.

    My '17 2.7 SR MT 4x4 was $25K.

Came with convenience package: Painted front bumper, cruise control, keyless remote entry, mirror defrosters, sliding rear window, rear jumper seats, carpet floor mats and door sill protectors.

Just looked on the website of the dealer I bought from. They have a silver double cab SR MSRP of $29708 and list price of $27457.

Seems so! Around here SR5's are an awful buy. They're close to TRDOR's and Sports and dealers love to slap XP and XSP packages on them and charge the moon and stars for them. Almost impossible to find a basic SR5 around here. You either get an SR or any other trim at a better deal dollar for dollar.

    Exactly the opposite

Tons of 4 cyl sr5 double cab here on lots, but if I want a SR double cab 4 cyl double cab, I have to order it ... go figure

I can throw a rock at random and hit 10 SR5's that sticker for OVER $34k. Highest one listed on cars.com within 50 miles of me is $40,132. Many are in the $37-39 range. Insanity!
