anyone have experience with line-x ultra?

got the truck back last night and was able to get some pics before the sun went down. I like it a lot. cost me 600 out the door.

 

What did they put as a buffer between the line-x and the paint?

Do you also like how the valance turned out on the front bumper?

 

The used painters tape to line it off. I cant find any spray over at all. They did say its needs to settle for 17 days and not to pressure wash the truck until that time window is out.

I do like the valence. I can grab some pictures tomorrow morning if you want.

So did they spray the line-x ultra on, while the fender flares were still attached to your truck?

 

That is correct. after a few days I did notice a few areas of imperfections, so it will be getting resprayed with the flares coming off this week. so far I have noticed zero chipping or peeling though for what its worth.

 

From my experience, go to your dealer & get the clips & tape to reinstall the flares. The tape that’s on there maybe able to reused, but they will break some clips.

 

Looks great! Line-X is really good, I would think it would last a while and be durable

have had the truck back for a few days from the second go round at linex. from a distance there is no noticeable difference in appearance but when up close it is noticeably cleaner. I'm still very happy with it and would recommend having the flares linex'd.

 

Mine are rock pitted pretty bad...
Do you think it would hide it pretty well?

 

I used some thing called Custom coat. If had it on for about 6 months. I love it super durable.

I think it is made by this company make raptor liner.
They have a tintable option so you can make it any color you want. My whole truck is gunmetal (body)
Silver trim.

absolutely. one of my flares was pretty scraped up and it looks brand new with no hint of what was coated over.

 

Does anyone have an update on Line-X Ultra? Not standard, premium, platinum or xtra Line-X but the thin Ultra (20mil) paint like coating? I've called every Line-X dealer within 350 miles of my Western Mt home and can't find a company that is applying the thinner, paint like Ultra coating.

I'd love to hear about real world experience with it.
