Well, I was about to put some work in on the reinforcement design but realized I missed a few needed dimensions. Back to the lab again!

Missed out on some Bilsteins on CL for a damn good price. :bananadead:
Too little, too late seems to be my re-occuring theme. Maybe I'll just do my A-Pillar RAM mount next and hold off on the big fun purchases until I can pay full retail. :pout:

In the meantime, I'm stoked to hit KS Rocks again Sunday. Should be a good time, as long as I don't break anything. (knock on wood):mudding:

Also I got out bid on 3 different Tacomas on Copart now. Guess that's out the window.

I'm going to be hitting the trails Sunday as well. That A-pillar ram mount is probably one of the most functional mods I have done. Makes calls and navigation so easy and less distracting/dangerous where it's mounted.

My cart on Amazon may or may not be loaded with ~$90 of stuff for an A-Pillar mount and a Volt meter with dual usbs and a magnetic charge cable for the phone... :anonymous:

How were the trails yesterday? Venture into some more difficult terrain?

I took them through one of the trails I did last week. Then we ventured out into some trails none of us had seen. I scraped my diff across a rock too. Damn glad Toyota designed that ring around the drain bolt! Overall, nothing super challenging. The real trick was fitting our tacos through. The 4R had no issue with its short wheelbase.

#Traillimoproblems. You'll get better at judging how close you can get to objects as well as swinging wayyy wide for turns on tight trails. I had to do a 3 pt. turn to get around a turn where a tree was in the way. I will actually back into or barely bump with the front bumper objects just to use as much space as possible. You'd be surprised at how much an extra 3 in or so will help.

That's what I do, I use the corner of the ranch hand on either side to judge how close to a tree I can go before I need to turn.

We went on one of the "Difficult" trails and were following another guy there who hauled butt to the hard part and the kiddo was just cackling the whole time. Especially on the climb since I have to ride up it at speed and just bang up it.

Hey man take a look at this pic here is the "difficult" hill climb you can see how high the banks are compared to the person standing above. Since I am open diffs I have to wall ride as much as possible it's a fun ride a stock truck can make it with decent tires. You need to come out to the red clay east coast and do some wheeling/camping with us sometime. I plan on making a trip out your way after seeing some of the cool spots others have posted from the PNW!

I was pretty amazed on how the DevilPenguin did. And seeing how you had to three point let me see
the places to watch. Actually had a pretty good gauge for my front by the end, and thread the needle through the trees. Amazing how much that little bit of wheelbase makes....
