    OOO, nice.

So what are your initial impressions on the sound improvement?

:thumbsup:For a ten slim sub I’m very impressed and I’m glad I upgraded all my high and mids speakers the stocks were a joke
It’s no W7 (what I had in my other truck) but man it puts out some bass

I had a lot of sound system before all types of brands but for having All JL Audio systems on my last two vehicles it is hard to go to any other brand

I have added iStep running boards, a Bestop rear mounted TrekStep, a BakFlip MX4, a Pop N Lock Power Tailgate Actuator, Chrome tailgate insert letters and MattGekeo LEDs
Installed a Pop N Lock, took a while as I has back surgery in January. Everything went very smooth and I love hitting my key fob twice and the tailgate unlocking. Also installed some Thermo-Tec 1470 Super Sonic Mat I got from Amazon to dampen the sound the lock makes.

JL Audio definitely makes some good stuff. I'm still using their HD amps (this is the 3rd vehicle I've installed them in).

The W7 is definitely a beast! Obviously it won't go as low or hit hard as the W7, but is it respsonsive/clean bass that still hits hard enough to feel?

Sometimes the local dealerships put these on sale. I got mine for $160 and they programmed it for $50. Found a locksmith that cut the spare key for $20. I know it’s kinda a pricey mod but it’s one of my favorites. No fob to carry. The valets think it’s cool and always give me a prime parking spot.

Not sure if you saw this thread..https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ghts-used-as-brake-and-signals.471450/page-19

I also used DD products for the rear tail light mod. FYI DD was completely useless in helping me with the lighting issues. I got all the help from this thread. Any info they pass on re resistors is from TW - I was utterly disgusted with their lack of help. I at least passed the info onto them to help out future victims.

Bottom line, I would make sure to use 9 ohm resistors.

Great advice on that thread on how to waterproof the DD module as well - its pretty flimsy. I believe JB Weld silicone was advised.

Probably not, this is about as far as I got. The only step further was that I added bleach to the small container with the V6 symbol. I’m using that as my test emblem. Right now I”m out of town on work, so my fiancé is taking over the project.

What method have you used. This one is taking forever. They’ve been in bleach for 24 hours and one corner is starting to clear up, but that’s it. We’re looking at other options.
