Watched the last episode of season 1 Daredevil this morning....and then watched first episode of season 2.

Oh yeah.....it picks up quickly. Gonna be fun.

It’s already established they exists in the same universe since Charles xavier’s school for the gifted (I think that the name) was used in the first Deadpool. Wolverine died in Logan though so unless Deadpool takes place before that I doubt he shows up. Maybe another paper mask

 

I imagine that dr strange knows what’s happening since he saw the one victory they have. But my guess is the people that are left get the glove off Thanos tochnage what he did, problem is inorder to use it and the soul gem a sacrifice has to be made. My guess is ironman uses the glove and cap is the sacrifice. Along with captain marvel helping them get it. They did tease Adam warlock at end of guardians 2 and he is known as the keeper of the soul gem but I doubt he shows up u til his own movie.

 

My guess is Cap dies as the sacrifice to save the rest of them and reverse what has already been done. Before I saw IW I had already accepted Cap was going to die and thought he was going to be one of the only main heroes to die but then they killed Loki out of the gate and I figured at that point no one was safe and was stressed the rest of the movie lol...

But - they kept foreshadowing 'we don't trade lives' multiple times. Especially Cap and Vision. So I know this will come full circle and Cap will trade his life for everyone else. I also found it fitting that Red Skull was guarding the Soul Stone. This is another tie to Cap which makes it more a reason to believe he will be the one to go...

I also agree with you about Strange. He knows what is going on. I think everything that happened (and anyone who died) after he told them he saw the 1 victory will be reversed. He even says 'we are in the end game' and 'this was the only way' with a smirk on his face even after giving up the time stone and as he is turning to dust...

you can google the images but they are of Ant Man, Iron Man, and Cap, a la 19whatever he is from, in what looks to be the battle of NY from the first avengers as if they have time hopped around.

 

Ya I was also assuming Hawkeye becomes ronin finally after watching his family turn to dust unless they have him on some secret mission this whole time.

 

That would be dope! I figure we will get a tease at the end of ant-man of his family being turned to dust and that setting the course for him to return to the fight

Yep. Should feed into Infinity War. He’s supposed to be exploring the quantum realm which should play an intricate part in reversing some of the damage done by Thanos

 

I’m not that up to date with him. Strongly dislike Paul Rudd and ant man is kinda lame imo

After the brutal beating, the Hulk took from Thanos to start the movie, I heard two different takes on why he refused to show up throughout the rest of the movie. 1. The hulk was humiliated with the beating and fearful of losing his life and it was the Hulk not wanting anything to do with Thanos. 2. Bruce Banner remembers the beating the Hulk took and it's Bruce's inner fear of Thanos that is keeping the Hulk from showing up.

My take is that the hulk doesn't back down and only gets angrier when he is getting beaten, so wouldn't be the one refusing to show up. IMO Bruce Banner's inner fear is keeping the Hulk from showing up, even if in the movie it seems Bruce is fighting to bring the Hulk to the dance.

Remember at the end when Thanos and a young Gamora are walking together. Somehow she is tied together with the Soul Gem after being sacrificed for Thanos to receive it, so she as well as Barnes, Drax, Groot, Mantis, Maximoff, Parker, Quill, Strange, T'Challa, and Wilson will be coming back in the next movie IMO.

Truth is hulk just had a movie in Thor so I think this one gave more effort to debut ruffalo as banner. But the hulk has beaten Thanos in the past bc he gets stronger the angrier he is and he can’t actually die. I think either of your theories r fine lol. But I agree they are coming back bc they set up outs for some people like ironman having a baby with pepper. But really I can’t picture anyone else as him and or like Tony stark could sit on the sidelines.

 

Of course they are, Marvel isn’t about to kill all those hugely profitable storylines for the sake of one good movie.

 

I'm joining. But I haven't seen IW yet. Or black panther. Or Thor Ragnarok. I'm a little behind...

I did just finish season 1 of Jessica Jones recently tho

 

It’s easy to look at it from a contract/movie standpoint like the fact that Black Panther has an announced sequel, Spider Man Homecoming has a sequel and Guardians of the Galaxy has a third as well. I don’t see them replacing characters or trying to have Rocket/Rabbit carry that movie alone...

That being said, here is my theory. You’re on track with the soul stone. The end where Thanos and young Gamora are talking is taking place in “soul world” which is where souls are trapped by the stone. Since he most likely “loved” her most when she was a child her “soul” is remembered this way thus being her child self in soul world instead of older Gamora. I think all the other characters who turned to dust also end up in soul world. This is why their “deaths” were so much different than the likes of Loki and Vision, who I think stay dead dead. Another point of reference is Red Skull who died similarly in the first Captain America and then we find out he didn’t actually die, but instead was transported across the galaxy to guard the soul stone...

I like the theory on the Hulk. I couldn’t figure it out. I figured it is sort of reverse on Ragnarok how they couldn’t get Hulk to go back to Banner so now they have the issue the other way but since he did pop out twice and say “no” it does seem more like a fear thing..

Maybe it’s a budget issue and he was too expensive to CG

I didn't think of that, now that is thinking outside the box (I heard that Hulk wanted more money to dance the whole movie).

 

I've just been kinda scanning this thread. Anything on IW i scroll past quickly but Ive seen a few spoilers so far. Nothing that really ruins it tho. I mean really, just watching some trailers now will spoil the movie.

 

You can’t ruin it. I liked it better the 2nd time I saw it and at that point I literally knew everything that was happening and going to happen
