Realized mine are a bit difficult to see in that pic, but I'm too lazy to get up and go take a new picture right now. Here's a screenshot from their website though.

Yeah, I was just doing a google image search and saw that picture and others. It does seem like they should velcro up in the front. I like how mine looks without that velcro edge sticking out in front. Might just keep mine how they are.

I think the non piping look good either way, seems like a personal preference. I say keep 'em how you have 'em too.

I also got all black no piping. Seen the black grey piping on a neighbors truck and didn’t care for it.

Put mine in today, I’ll snap the obligatory pics tomorrow.
Unbolted the front seats to get the bottoms on easier. It was pretty straightforward, took maybe an hour tops.
Happy with the quality, but the fit leaves a little to be desired, and I’m not too thrilled with the Velcro on the headrests that faces out.

Maybe I’m missing something for the front seats... how do you pass the Velcro part under the back of the seat when there’s that plastic piece in the way that hooks under the seat? Do you un hook it and flip it up?

They "settle" down after a few days and fit a bit better. They aren't the best looking that's for sure, but they are resilient, just like Tacomas

Only thing that’s kind of a bummer for me, although it’s really not THAT serious and obviously unavoidable, is how strong they smell from the packaging I guess? Either way it’s been like at least 2 weeks and the smell is still pretty over powering. Like I said, not the biggest thing in the world, just figured I’d throw that out there

I ended up letting mine sit in the garage to air out for the week before installing them because of that. Then left my windows down over night after installing and it didn't seem too bad the next day. They are definitely really strong straight out of the box.

I talked to someone at Wet Okole today after explaining to him what I had the Velcro goes in the front on mine. That's where the extra padding is. Mine also smelt very strong after install a couple of nights in the garage and there fine now. Anyone get there's back from the embroidery shop yet? What kind of prices were you quoted?

Received a text this afternoon that mine were ready. I'll go pick them up tomorrow and throw up some pics and pricing info so people have a baseline.

Exactly why I chose mine to be black on black, can't stand stains, keeping those light grey perforated cloth seats clean was a huge PITA. No worries now.

Plus I wanted to darken the cab up a bit. I think they look pretty good with the other black panels and what not I've installed.

As others have stated mine took just shy of a month to arrive which is still ahead of their 6 week projected turnaround time. Considering I was late on the list of a huge group buy and am in Florida, about as far away from Hawai'i as you can be and still be in the U.S. I think that's pretty good.

I ordered mine 3-27 and received them today 4-30.

Took a little figuring to get them installed, only really got hung up on how the factory bottom wrap around flap has to be folded up against the seat back so the Okoles can velcro to themselves, was expecting that to be left in place. The Okoles have their own flap though.

I highly HIGHLY recommend removing the seats from the vehicle to install the covers, it made it much easier to stuff everything under trim, and remove trim in some cases being able to flip the seats upside down etc. It's an extra step sure but saves time in the long run I think. Plus it's a good opportunity to vacuum the carpet under the seats.

Not crazy about the airbag slit, I may put a stitch or two with some fine black thread to keep it closed and less noticeable but not enough to hinder unlikely deployment. I have met a side airbag once, feels like a solid slap to the ribs/kidney area but I guess it sucks less than your ribs and kidneys meeting the crumpling door panels. Thanks drunk guy who ran the red light for that experience.

    Anyway, pics:
    IMG_20180430_125154.jpg IMG_20180430_125021.jpg IMG_20180430_125002.jpg IMG_20180430_125256.jpg

Nice and dark on the inside.

First impressions, I've only driven with them to the gas station down the street in the afternoon and then again to work this evening for about 20 minutes but they are definitely more comfortable. I didn't have any real complaints about the stock seats but these covers do add some plushness. They look fantastic too. Very happy about that! :D

They have a bit of chemical smell, rather noticeable when first entering the cab after it's been sitting in the sun but that is supposed to fade quickly, windows down riding for the time being to let them off gas, and leaving the windows cracked when parked. The already pretty darn good fit is supposed to improve after a little wear in, there's one or two spots where you can see a half-dollar sized splotch of gray, specifically on the lower sides near the pivots on the seat back parts, and of course where the airbag slits are. Would have been nice if there was more material there to overlap, a slight velcro enclosure, blowable stitching or if the material could have been tucked into itself tongue and groove style. The "OEM" style seat back pockets seem like they wouldn't support as much load as the stock seat back pockets but I don't use them much for anything anyway. Usually just a sun visor or the like. I don't think I would want to store my road atlas in there long term in fear of it stretching out the pocket or tearing stitching.

The extra padding does seem to boost me up slightly, though that may settle. Not really a complaint but an observation. For what it's worth, I'm just over 5'9" and roughly 190lbs.

Even after sitting in the sun for several hours the seats were warmer than the cloth would be but not hot like leather would have been, that may be due to just the fact that they are dark coloured.

Not enough data to extrapolate on breathability or sweat generation yet.

Looking forward to seeing how they ride during a long hot day trip and how easy mud cleans off of them.

@Key-Rei - Thanks for the info. Is the cover over your center console lid from WO or somewhere else? It doesn't seem to be the same material as the seat covers.

No the cover on my center console was one of my early mods, it's a leather section cut from the middle of the back seat in a BMW 5 series and painstakingly hand stretched cut and shaped to fit over and then screwed back into the lid. As are the wraps around my interior door grabs and the door arm wrests.

I left the factory gray rubber covers and padding underneath for shape and padding, I also added a thin 1/8 foam padding section for extra plushness and used plenty of super glue and 3M Spray 90 adhesive to bond it all together. It was a messy time consuming project but well worth it for the end result to me.

Again all because that light gray stuff soaks up stains like a bad paper towel commercial.

Come on Tojo I love ya but WTF m8?

I took the leather sections from a junkyard car, the two seats to either side were split and torn so I didn't feel bad taking a razor to it.

I did order the wet Okole center console cover or rather it came free with the group buy. I got it with the intention of giving it to another Tacoma buddy who needed something for his console, again for stains.

The Wet Okole center cover itself is like a neoprene showercap complete with underwear eleastic waist band like end. I didn't try installing it but suspect it wouldn't look or fit anywhere near as nice as the seat covers themselves. It appears to be more of a universal type fit thing.

Leather is easier to clean than any cloth but having owned a car with leather seats I can attest the care and maintenance, as well as the heat in the summer are certainly not worth it just for the easier cleanup.

Plus you're going to hate your friends when they leave something in their pocket like a pen that marks the leather or something pointy or sharp that pokes a hole or cuts your leather.

Main reasons I went with Okoles for my Tacoma vs katskin or the like.

I will admit leather looks nicer, but I'm quite pleased with the appearance of the Wets.
