    Kinda hard to pop the cover when you're still at work, lol. Sounds like it's not so much mounting but more about wiring/supplying pwr/grd. Plan was to pop the cover off the mirror tomorrow and take a peek at the internals.

    Thanks, now I know the connector/wiring I need to look for. I swore to myself no modding of the truck, but some of the stuff that @mesojdm has been putting out is awesome and functional. With the drivers that I have around me I want to be as visible as possible.

    I'm now concerned that if I order 3 my weight will be -410 and I'm not so sure the womens will be quite as impressed with my extra 3"...

    So I pulled the mirror cap, and verified that my mirror (SR5) is not pre-wired for the turn signal. I also went back and looked at the video on post 52 and verified that the lower portion of my housing is different than the one in the video. At about the 2:20 mark when he has the signal out, you can see a step down that allows clearance for the light, the SR5 housing does not have this. Out of curiosity I also pulled the door panel and found that the connector for the mirror has 5 wires in and 5 wires out. Vehicle does not appear to be pre-wired for mirror turn signals, which is a bummer. More wiring than I want to do. Decided to post this up just in case others had the same thought.
