18s have the auto highbeam, but not auto lights. My SR5 attests to that. I'd love to have the auto a/c, but I think that too is relegated to the Premium package.

It's basically the same as my 05, except it has the ability adjust the timer. I think he's looking for the ones like my wife has on her rav4 where you never touch. They sense the light and turn on and off.

We've had those on our Forester and volvo. They're okay, but I'm a control freak where the sensitivity setting never seem to be right. Like I said, we have semi-auto lights to start with. I thought TSS-P has full auto lights standard? Maybe just auto high beams?

I think it's just the auto high beam. I've found they work ok in really rural situations. But different street or house lights turn them off and on. It can almost act like you're flashing people also. I can't see myself using it very often. Happy it's defeatable by the button on the dash.

I imagine US and Canada have entirely different setups based on what I've read on here.

Yeah. I don't think that I would like auto high beams or the other TSS-P functions. Backup cameras are friggin' great, but that is about the limit of gizmo creep that works for me. I'm weird like that.

I went 18 because I do like some of it. I'm just really happy all the stuff I don't like can be turned off. Otherwise, I'd be right there with you. My favorite feature is the adaptive cruise. It's really a game changer if you take long trips.

I see how the functions appeal to a lot of folks.

I’d like a roll down rear window like the tundras and power seats. Anything else I can think of could be added aftermarket.

That's my favorite feature on the tundras. I haven't seen behind their seats though, wondering if they lose any of the storage we have?

I'm honestly quite surprised they didn't go this route on the Tacoma.

I think they had a choice of roll down window or storage space behind the seat. But not both.

I can't recall ever seeing any car ever having an oil level gauge, only an oil pressure gauge. I can see why Porsche and Audi, and pretty much any other German car would have or want a level gauge, as they have a tendency to mark their territory. Toyota motors for the most part, don't make a habit of pissing their pants.

And I'm not sure I'd want another sensor to fail, or leak and be there just because I couldn't open the hood once in a while and check the dip stick.

Actually, I’m surprised to hear German vehicles would have oil level gauges. Oil pressure, yes. The Europeans are much more conscientious drivers who have more of a habit of prechecks than us ‘mericans.

Better add standard ear plugs to your wish list. Cause that thing is going to be noisy.
