It depends on the zone you’re in - South East and Gulf Coast Toyota have their own magic numbers. Don’t forget to include their delivery number, usually $1K -$1.5K depending. Use the helpful sheet here on TW to calculate invoice for real numbers - here. Also, use the “what I paid” spreadsheet created by this thread to give you realistic guidance as well.

EDIT: I realized I didn’t answer your last question - You can get discounts on a swapped vehicle (from another dealer) as well as ordered. But they are less inclined to as the vehicles on the lot are already costing them money. There are holdbacks, volume bonuses, etc that all affect the bottom line... and your price. If you go in educated, you can work a better deal for yourself. Just remember that they aren’t going to sell it to you without making ‘some money’, so work towards something that works for both of you. Last but not least, don’t be a afraid to walk out. A bad deal is a bad deal, even if you stay and sign the papers.

The spec sheet they sent me did not include a charge for delivery, maybe that was included with the msrp. I had them give me a quote for a 4Runner last month and they gave me 3k off of MSRP but that was on a vehicle they had on the lot. At this dealer they automatically tint the windows on all their vehicles along with door guards and a tire warranty about about $1000, Im assuming they must tint all the windows.

I still feel I should get a lower number but I understand this is for an ordered vehicle and not one on the lot or one that is traded. I checked and there are vehicles in nearby states but they stated they cant trade with them.

You can use this to see what others have paid. It's not everyone that has posted in this thread but it gives you a good idea

Go to the internet sales guy, they usually come with a lower price quicker, because they have to compete with all of the other online prices. I have a 2017 TRD Offroad, Superwhite, bunch of options, no leather. Sticker was 41k, got it for 35k.

Except, at some dealerships they're just a shill to get you to come in for the high pressure tactics. Unfortunately that's a common practice too.

Actually that is the person I have been dealing with. I started to ask quotes from other dealers in the area to compare.

They threw in express dents and I thought they were throwing that in free of charge (stupid me) but its like $400 they added. I wonder if I cancel that option.

Unlimited paintless dent removal for dents up to 2" for 2 years. Yea, I don't need it, I am going to cancel it in a few days. I work in a plaza that has a supermarket too, hopefully I don't get door dinged.
