I’m already a DEWALT user, and the flexvolt batteries are fantastic, so it’s nice having everything on that platform

I'm heavy into dewalt, but I might start switching a few things to makita here and there, I like their impact so much better and the battery trim router is nice too

Was honestly wondering what was going on there. If it's a standard-ish size you can save yourself a lot of time, trouble, and money by just checking out Craigslist, offer up, letgo, etc for a used exterior door. Picked one up for $20 for the garage at my old house. Coat of paint and it was good as new.

a good router and some panel bits would be good for making a custom door. Table saw is also a must have, I wouldnt know what to do without one...

I recently switched to the 20volt xr drills and I have been looking at the weed eaters. Those chainsaws look pretty useful too.

I was in the market for a table saw about a month ago and was in Lowes ready to purchase this exact saw because I have DeWalt for almost everything else. Ended up getting this Hitachi instead and have been very pleased. I sat in the store for 20 minutes doing more research and several review sites actually ranked it above the DeWalt. Has a bigger table and is very sturdy, same gear mechanism to adjust the fence, nice features like soft start and brake stop, and what sealed the deal for me was the price - this link is showing it at 479, but I paid ~280 after Lowes price matched it to somewhere I found online and applied a coupon.

Also, for big purchases like this I normally buy discounted gift cards from Lowes and/or buy lowes coupons on ebay. Ebay daily deals frequently has Lowes $100 gift cards for $90 and you can buy 10% off coupons for a few bucks on ebay as well. Well worth it when you're buying something big. I'm always looking to save (or make) a buck.

Yeah, they will sell legit 10% off coupons for both Lowes and HD, and then they'll also sell 10% Home depot coupons that can only be used at Lowes, and vice versa. I'm guessing if they were scanned at the proper store they wouldnt work, but since they honor each other's coupons they will work at the competitor. I've never done that because it seems shady and dishonest. The gift cards pop up on the Daily Deals site (https://www.ebay.com/deals ) about twice a month and they'll either be $100 for $90 or $91. If you really want to 'game the system' go for the trifecta and have Lowe's price match a competitor, use a 10% off coupon, and then pay the balance with the gift cards you bought for 10% off. :D

Pro tip from a cheapskate - just go to a cashier to have them adjust everything and not customer service. Bonus points if you can find a 16 year old cashier who couldnt give two shits about the adjustments.
