Yea thats crazy. If you hate the MT in the third gen, the last thing I'd do is go buy a third gen auto. I'd go buy a tundra.

 

I'd buy a 1st gen Tundra. It's basically a slightly unsightly 3rd gen Taco with a v8 lol

 

I mean, as of lately the amount of complaining has been on the rise, but I do still agree with you

I want one, but I don't really have a good excuse to get one... at least not that I've come up with so far. Maybe once my 2017 taco is paid off.

 

I was considering the current gen Tundra before I bought my Taco. But I didn't need the playground they call a backseat lol So. Much. Space.

And you get more off road goodies with the higher Taco trims vs the Tundra, so yes

 

If I couldn't have gotten my hands on a MT when I was looking to trade my auto, I probably would have gone tundra. Either that or kept my second gen forever with the real LSD in the rear.

 

New to the forum and haven't actually even driven my truck yet (bought and paid for while still overseas. 6MT are hard to find and I picked it up as soon as the dealer had one in stock) but reading through most of this makes me think it'd be a good idea. Has anyone heard when OVTune will have the hardware back in stock?

 

About the only reason I did not get a Tundra was the lack of an MT option. The price difference between the Tacoma with the minimal options I required and the "equivalent" Tundra was surprisingly small.

Maybe he only chose testers not on TW so they can't share or have their feedback tainted?
