I got my Fox shocks today and just want to verify some things.

The rear 2.0 shocks came with a rubber washer, what is that for?
The rear 2.0 shocks came with a smaller bushing for the lower eye, how do you get the larger rubber bushing out? Its in there really tight.

    Lots of sail boat fuel
Needle nose vise grips and a second set of hands. Try to roll the edge inward as pulling as to almost cave it.

Anyone running just aftermarket skid and sliders? If so, how much lift are you getting and are you using different springs?

I can’t add other weight to the front or else the taco won’t fit in my garage :anonymous:

Thanks, I figured that, just muscle it out. What about the rubber washer, its not obvious what that is for.

It’s for the top mount in case you need to space the shock down.

Cool, thanks. I just got them installed, no big deal but the bottom shock mounts were tight so I just spread it open a tad. I took it out for a drive but still have the stock front suspension, it was way better and didn't fight me in the corners at all like it used to, cant wait to get the fronts on.

Those shocks also fit the rear of a 4runner. The rubber washer and pre-installed bushing are for the 4runner.

Tacoma's require you to install the other bushing. You can try using sockets and a vise or press to push them out.

X2. A vise and a socket worked great!

Running sliders and aluminum skid trilogy. No bumpers or winch yet. Still rolling 600# springs they came with. I have 2+" as advertised and rides just fine. Will def go up in spring weight with bumper and winch.

Oh it would have been, had a fire at the house that took everything with it. That included the foxes for all four corners I had in the garage. My new fronts will be here tomorrow and I’m hoping to install everything soon. It’s been a problem since all my tools, jacks, jack stands and compressor are gone. But I’ll be replacing those and getting it done soon.
