05 with 200,000 miles on it

I have a 2005 Taco Reg cab that i just bought with 200,000 miles on it. does anyont know anything about leveling kits, as far as if i have them put a 3" one on itdo i need an alignment? as far as i know they are not messing with anything that would affect the alignment, just take the shock tower out put the spacer on and put it back. Am i mising something? if you know please let me know thanks..

 

hey ,i have a 05 to it already had a rancho quick lift on it but im pretty positive u have 2 get a allignment.

 

an alignment is needed whenever you change height or tire size.

 

The leveling kit is going force your whole front suspension downward. You will definitely need an alignment.

Also, I would recommend staying away from top plate spacers. They will wear out your ball joints way more easily than any other type of lift.

tire size has no effect on your alignment

 

200k is a ton of miles. I am happy that I have an 07 with 23000 miles on it. To bad I shipped it to Europe so my North American warranty is no good.

yea i was gone for a bit i bought a tundra and was on tundra talk but I still had the 05 taco been driving the crap out of it yea well im at 198,567 miles today ill hit 200,000 this week and just did brakes and rotors yesterday but thats it so far so good...

 

I need to change my photo too its of my 04 that i sooo miss i sold it to a 19 year old kid who has trashed it it makes me sick...

 

I don't see how it's possible to drive that much.

 

Meh I average about 30k per year myself. It's not that hard really.

It took me 17 years to put 220,000 miles on my '87. My brother, on the other hand, owns several dozen retail stores scattered throughout the western half of the US; he put the same number of miles on his FJ in just two years.

LOL, sort of what I said when I say his odometer last fall. As they are highway miles with good maintenance the 'Yotas still run great. He then gives them to his girls, who usually get a few good years out of them before they run into a deer or something.

 

My 05 has 106,000 on it.
