Clearly you paid the dealer to add some things for you. Whats up with the tail lights? That's part of the blackout package?

That just Gulf States Toyota way of taking your money. Its the only group that does the blackout (for now.) Southeast Toyota does the TSS stupid thing. Its just a package of options they've hand picked and ordered on trucks...

 

ah. if it's a a stealership add-on its probably dumb expensive. I'm satisfied with the derped badges and 40$ tailgate lettering. woulda been cool to get full blackout from the factory tho...

I see this freaking emoticon in my sleep so often I am now counting the card instead of sheep.

 

I think that is for when you have the High Beams on there is a sensor that will turn them off when another vehicle with their lights on approaches. At least that is how it works in my car.

Edit - I am sure someone will correct me very quickly, if I am wrong, and enjoy doing it. But that is just how we play here. Lots of help and lots of smart aleks, like me.

The blackout package was a factory option i think it was $400 also the sliders were factory and bed lights but i think those were put on somewhere between San Antonio and the dealer.The only thing the dealer did was tint the windows.all of my options were on toyotas build and price on their website. This was the first time that i have been able to get the exact vehicle i wanted.It would be a little while before i could any upgrades due to my job right now so i opted to get it like i wanted.Although i would really like some beadlocks and my wife seems to like them too so that might come sooner than i expected.Anyway just happy to be part of the team here.i look forward to everybodys input and advise.i have big plans for this beast,and thanks for all the warm welcomes

They do have regions. They work for the most part on a turn and earn basis for all vehicles. The better dealers...sales wise get the extras and turn downs .
