It depends on where the wood is coming from. There's a laundry list of states that are under quarantine mostly due to fire ants and ash borers.
I know price deals can be had for out of state firewood, but I'm of the buy locally mentality. Keeps the money local and foreign pests out of state. Not hating either way though. Good luck.

Lots of firewood on sale right now as well and in the next few weeks. T'is the season. I picked up 3 cords last year for $60 total from some local guy on craigslist. Deals are out there if you look.

Fuck me it’s been a long day. That’s what I get for trying to TW and shotgun a beer.

There’s a place out towards black rock that sells fireworks. I have the pin saved if you need it.

This is a bit of a stretch, but here we go:

My grandfather bought a new Buick right before he passed. It's 100% paid off. I'll be visiting my grandma in Carson City on Friday/Saturday and taking her back to the Bay Area with me to visit family. She'd really like to just sell the Buick back to a dealer. We've already tried Reno Buick, and the Mopar Dealer a few blocks down Kietzke from there. Their offers were ridiculous. Would anyone here know a place that would give us a fair price in Reno/Carson?

Honestly just looking to either get some cash or trade it in on a GX for my wife.

    Thanks!

Is it the one in Wadsworth?... Can't think of any others out that way.

The reason we usually order them is because we usually pay about 25-35% of what we would if bought in store.

I was aiming for that on Saturday. Just wondering if anyone had any good experiences around the area. I grew up here and north lake, and I remember the dealers in Reno being scumbags coming from a GM family. I don't know how Champion is still in business.

Yeah, we stop there on the way out to pyramid because they sell the permits there. You need a permit to light the fireworks.... That makes for 4 permits we buy when we go out there. Boating, fishing, camping, and fireworks... and then they gouge you with the price on the fireworks.

Just got back tonight from Boise. No trips planned for the rest of the month at least. But I also rock a Gov vehicle so bringing that stuff back might be frowned upon

Anyone here have welding machines at home? Looking at maybe getting one just to have it and for welding up all my gussets and what not. I've only ran Millers at work but they're all big machines. Definitely would want MIG and contemplating getting one that can do TIG as well but it's been a while and that jacks the price way up so it might not be worth it.

Everything we run at the shop is Miller and OTC but they are all XMT 350's and larger. MIG will do everything you want at home. You can always find little Lincoln machines on craigslist around here. Also you might want to take a look at the Hobart machine. Hobart is a value brand offered by Miller. We use Hobart wire and I have seen good reviews on the small machines. We have a good rep at Matheson, they rotate machines out of the rent and lease department and you can normally get a machine with factory warranty at half to 2/3 price doing that also.

Looks solid. What size wire do you run? .030?

I've been looking at the Hobarts, my only concern would be selling out the cash and not being satified with the results/equipment. I've loved all the Miller stuff I've ran. And my only concern with buying used would be the wear. I know most places take good care of rental stuff, but we've had some bad experiences buying used welders haha. I guess renting could be a solid option though.
