Next two weekends are out for my welding mod day. I've been reminded by the wifey that I need to train for my upcoming May 20 Triathlon. I haven't done an inch of running or swimming. So training starts this weekend :curls::muscleflexing::benchpress::militarypress:

The 4runner wheels I got today has +15mm offset. Does that means my wheels will stick out 15mm more or will be inside fender 15mm more?

    Thanks for helping a offset/backspace noob:anonymous:

If I had a legit need for limb risers I’d do it. I just don’t, so I’d feel like a poser with them on.

I’ve always liked the look of full plate so much better on these trucks

Edit: aside from a full on LT prerunner build

Nah, Already the steel tube bumpers tend to get bent from hitting stuff on the trails, not enough bracing in the IMO. A plate alu would be a better option if you're looking for some weight savings.

Wish I had them on a trail that I have run a couple of times now. That trail has given me many a trail scars.

Do you know how wide the new ones are? My guess is they're the same specs as my wheels, and are 7.5" wide
All they really do is push the sticks off your windshield. I'm not sure how much they actually protect the side of your truck. Maybe @Chux can tall us.

They would of protected my hood and a-pillars. Rhododendron are some nasty bushes that'll get you good! Not the sides I would need a wrap for that!

They def don’t protect the sides. Your A pillar will still catch some lashings. They do work. But there’s so many variables of branches on trails. I’d say “they better your chances of assisting a branch over the truck” rather than “they lift limbs over the truck” sounding like they are flawless.

This snow trail didn’t care if I had limb risers or not..

This trail in Canada I didn’t have limb risers.
But would def be a better senario where they would work great.

@Subway4X4 asking how they are mounted. If anyone else is interested.

That snow trail is pretty darn cool! I may make some at some point, but I just don't find myself in the same types of trails yet. Maybe I'll do it for the #EAF points.

So your old ones are 7" wide +30mm offset. If your new ones are 7" wide and +15mm offset, it'll poke out 15mm more than before.
