ok, soooo I'm trying to download all the programs and drivers on my laptop in preparation tomorrow and I keep getting error notices. They say the publisher of GrdTru could not be verified, and when I try to download the flash manager I get an error message saying windows cannot install program. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

Supposed to let it idle for about 20 minutes after flashing so it "relearns" some base settings. You are probably fine, first time I flashed mine it ran for about five minutes, before I drove it,I didn't have any problems.

Ack. I guess now that everything’s downloaded I could always just re-flash the same tune and let it idle the 20 mins. Thx man.

I was able to get past that part and now I’m stuck because windows doesn’t know which program to use.

    Hi All,

I know it's probably been asked and/or said in this 877+ pages thread so sorry about that.
My Tacoma 2016 is just fine for everyday driving but i use it for about 10 000 - 15 000 km (~10000miles) a year with my travel trailer.

When i have the trailer (17' hybrid) i go down from 21mpg to 9.8mpg in average.
It's also not possible to go above 4th gear and it goes down to 3-2 very often.

I don't want to start a debate on my trailer but seeking someone with similar needs who did this tune.
Looking to know if the TQ/HP gain will be enough for me to run smoother.

Let me know and thanks in advance..!!

Every time I download the 04B03_1.03_87_Octane.bin file, I get a error when trying to write/flash it. Also it tells me that it is 0KB in size. Defender is turned off and there is no other antivirus running. Any ideas ?

I'm sitting on my couch right now, and it shows up...without the dongle, without being hooked to the truck.

You don’t need to let it sit for 20 minutes. It does some calibrations which take a bit. It’ll still figure it out over time. Letting it idle just speeds up that process.

Also I’m not sure where people got 20 minutes from. It was always 10 then I think some people thought more time was better and started suggesting that.

I think that likely surfaced so the truck would have enough time to fully warm and thus would have an opportunity to "learn" both cold and warm idle targets. Depending on the temps where you are, 10 mins of idling may not be enough to get the engine "warm" though with warmer temps 10 mins is sufficient for most now!

Make sure you've downloaded the most current version of flash manager. If you use an older version, the downloaded files will be 0kb in size.
