tasted any yet? haven't had one that big before. always heard that the bigger ones are tougher/gamier, but I always like to try stuff for myself. But, if you're inclined to make your own sausage, I highly recommend this kit:

    https://www.himtnjerky.com/Original-Summer-Sausage-Kit.html

really easy to make. I do it by hand so no stuffer needed.

I use it to make mine. I do 50% venison, 25% pork and beef each, but a mix of lean beef and hog at like a 50-50 mix would be good. I add high temp cheese to mine among other additives and seasonings. Really good kit.

I did. It was gamie. I don't see myself hunting pigs in the future so I dont want to invest in any sausage maker stuff. I was hoping someone with more hunting experience (it was my first time, I wanted to kill something no one cared about) could do something with the meat. Maybe we could all have a big BBQ and make pork related stuff on top of other stuff? (Lake day?)

My 26" webber kettle is portable and I'll cook it up! for sure I'm cooking something big for the lake meetup! If I can find time, I can make the sausage for ya to try it out. I've got all the stuffs. Nothing other than mixing bowls and elbow grease required with my method.

All this talk of hog meat reminded me that I have a deep freeze full of venison sausage that I thought I could bring to the Jamboree or a TTC meet-up if anyone wants some.
