Leaf spring

What the heck do you call the thin metal piece that go between each leaf spring? I’m looking to buy them because My add on didn’t come with one. It to keep each leaf from metal contact each other.

There is nothing that has is set between a leaf spring. A shim is between the leaf spring unit and the axil where the U-bolts attach. This is done to change the angle of the drive shaft. I have seen some people put spacers at the the end of the leaf springs to help with noise.

 

Between each leaf where the center bolt go, there are thin sheet of metal that keep the leaf from rubbing against each other. I don’t have access to my truck at the moment so no pic.

 

Sounds like some kind of spacer.

 

They're called isolators

Edit - they shouldn't be metal, the point is to avoid squeaks/chafing, not encourage it.

 

That is what they are called. I just call them spacers for no better description.
