Vinyl wraps

OK cool. I imagine the roof and hood take a beating from the elements. I'd just like to do my roof and I wonder if it's much cheaper than painting.

 

To get the most life from it there is a refresher that keeps it moist. Not good to just use armorall or something simaler

 

Getting my roof done. What color you think on a black truck. Matte black, really dark almost black gray, or carbon fiber??

 

I don t really know maybe a dark grey it has to be noticable

 

This is the third hood I've done myself. Install took roughly 30 minutes.

What film did you use on the roof?

 

Knifeless tape and some matte black

 

It was 3m 1080 satin black

 

Hey guys, so my hood starting showing some bad clear coat. I looked around forever at wrap options. I ended up with this. It was my first attempt and I got a few small wrinkles, but it looks good enough for now. I will try again next summer and may try some more of the truck. I for sure need some new headlights as these hold more rain in than they keep out!

 

I bet the knifeless tape made this way less of a headache, could it be used around the 3rd brake light and fin if one were doing their own roof?

 

I want to buy black vinyl wrap, to wrap hood scoop and the arch parts right above the tires . anyone reccomend good vinyl wrap?

Make sure you are reading the warranty and lifespan info on the vinyl you are using to wrap your trucks . Some can only be left on for a few years before they become an insane amount of work to take off!!

 

If anyone needs help or some one to install their vinyl decals I'm in Lancaster PA!

 

Is there a general website that everyone buys their vinyl from and reasonably priced? I will hate to shop from multiple places and continue to browse around etc.
