from where I am out east I may just take the ferry across...

it makes more sense for me driving up north through CT & MA and right into VT

I would be adding a decent amount of travel time if I go west and drive north through NY and then into VT

Even if I do not take the ferry, I would be heading west no further than Queens and then crossing into CT then MA and then VT.

traveling north via the NY thruway would really only make sense for those coming from the NJ, PA and parts of NY like hudson valley etc.

not sure yet really, there are many ways we can skin this cat.

but going north on 87 would be adding a solid two hours for me

my suggestion for anyone who is already east of the Hudson River would be heading north along 95 and then jump on 91 north

My wife is from there, she went to Clarkston North. Still has family down there, we tend to end up down there once a year.

My two girls go to Clarkstown North. My wife works at Nyack Hospital.

Let me know when you’re headed out this way. We might be able to do a day trip of wheeling with the crew.

I'll just throw this out; perhaps go a little further north for your meet up so anyone who'd be taking I-84 to I-87 could make the meet-up without having to back track down I-87.
