PTR13-35150 - Bilstein TRD PRO kit - Upgrade??

I plan to pay it forward with the tools. After I’m done, whoever needs them pays shipping and they are yours, just please do the same when you’re done. Hoping that earns me good graces/karma/blessings/etc to avoid vibrations and headaches.

I always thought it was a good idea to buy the tool then the next person who needs it pays for the shipping to get it to them, uses it and holds onto it until the next person needs it. But that does not allow the original purchaser to get their original cost back. So each person should pay $5 to the original purchaser until the tool is paid for then it just keeps making the rounds on its own.

 

I will pay for the shipping and give it for free to the next tacoma owner who needs them.

I don’t care about getting my $ back. I just want a smooth ride and slight lift. If passing the tools along helps, so be it...

 

Planning on installing this lift in the next coming weeks. Is it a necessity to add the leaf pack and spacer? Also, what are bump stops generally needed for? Thank you.

You may want to add one of the two, otherwise you will have slight Bro-lean. You won't need bump stops. Your front will go up 1-1/2" after it settles a bit.

 

Likely won’t install my lift and ECGS bushing until after May 20th or so. I’ll post here when done and ready to pass ECGS tools into the next owner.

 

You asked earlier if anything else needed. I installed Diff drop, and (No ECGS bushing), and have no vib"s. Just some FYI. Axles/CV's are at stock angle with Diff drop. Installer (Toyota)wouldn't do unless Diff drop install. Not saying at all not to install ECGS. I had dealer do install, to cover my ass if vib came up.

Any of the lift suppliers will have it like, Wheelers, Headstrong. Dealer that did installed supplied everything for me at cost

 

If you don't mind me asking, how much did they charge for install?

 

The dealer charged me $425.00 for install of TRD Pro suspension, diff drop, add a leaf, and alignment.

 

I am having rear driveline vibrations after my installation. I installed a HS 3 leaf progressive AAL in the rear and left the overload spring installed. That gave me a 2 inch lift front and back. I also installed the ECGS bushing in the front diff as well. After I got these vibrations I ordered and installed the carrier bearing drop kit from HS in hopes that would eliminate the vibes. Didn't work at all. My question to everyone who has installed this kit is did you get rear driveline vibrations and if so what specifically did you do to eliminate them?
I have now ordered a digital angle finder and will be measuring all my rear operating angles and will try installing axle shims to try to fix.
I have to believe that many others are having this same problem.
Btw, I love the look and ride of new Pro Trd kit.

The carrier bearing drop kit helped get rid of most of the vibes when it was just installed. It got rid of about 95% of them at first but got worse after several days now I feel like it’s gotten rid of about 80% of the vibes.
Mines had the stock axle shims and I am considering turning shims the opposite way or removing them to see if it improves or worsens the vibes.
I may just end up taking it to a professional driveline shop to see what can be done.
Having said that it’s definetly a lot better now than before the CB drop kit and it’s doable but I would like it to be spot on just like you and everyone else.
