Mine have been great. Like I said almost blinding bright. That was a good deal for that kit that came with spares and the license bulbs. The only issue was polarity in the maps. Had to flip them 180° to work. The festoon dome bulb also was a perfect fit.

I wish the OP would update that first post!!! Unfortunately, I'm not sure he/she is even active in TW anymore. Honestly, we should just start another LED Conversion thread...

Those Baja Designs are definitely the top-of-the-line offering. A good case of "you get what you pay for". I also liked how the yellow lens can be easily switched out with a clear lens. I'd go with the white until it snows...then I'd pop in the yellow lens for the winter. No need to decide on one or the other or applying a yellow tint that fades over time.

I was like you, Rob, and I only jumped on the Morimoto's because of the group buy deal. That put it in a comfortable price range (for me) and it ticked every box I really wanted for a LED fog light. Sure, I would love to get the super bright BD's, but I would only upgrade to those if I lived in a rural area or did some serious off-roading. Otherwise, it's just overkill for my needs. :)

I know and agree that the BD's are overkill for my street princess. Had I known that led headlights would be in my truck I may have gone the Morimoto route. Then again I sold the stock fogs for $80 and that brought the BD price down to Earth. I drive a lot with only DRL and BD lights and I get my use out of them. I did aim them low enough to not blind oncoming traffic. I am extremely satisfied with them. When you think about it the same can be said for my BFG tires, my meso mirror signals, my meso ultimate interior lights, my K&N cai and Gibson exhaust. Damn. I guess I overspent for a lot of stuff I don't really need. Maybe I should just go back to stock. What can I say. I am old. I am feeble. I am old. I am feeble. Did I mention I am feeble.

Yea, we Jacked the Hell outta this thread no?! :threadjacked: X INFINITY

That's actually a damn good idea!

Well, I may circle back but first I would look into some light bars and ditch lights. I really dig the yellow look. I also like light bars and ditch lights. But like you, I have to have a need.

I do get jelly when @mrproduxn posts those pics though! :D

Well, I think if you are comfortable with spending then the money then screw everything else. I can tell you [all] this, I see very little to no regret on this forum, so we all must be making ourselves happy! And in the end, what else matters?

BD has zero cut offs making them appear massively brighter and does not provide a street safe beam pattern blinding everyone. Note the Rigid Fog pods left and Squadron Sport wide cornering right are actually rated about the same output. But the BD causes massive glare due to beam pattern, not output. The Rigid beam is far more focused and intense and actually projects further without blinding anyone.

Also, lots LEDs for sale including Morimotos and BD:

Then explain why my night vision with BD and Hikari LED headlights are superior to my eyes than my stock headlights and fogs mr genius. Wait. Aren't you the same nobody that said Hikari bulbs are subpar. Maybe you should share this on the BD thread. Might set an ignore record. Do you drive a Ridgeline by any chance. I don't care what you think you know but I know what my eyes tell me. The only thing scattered is the brain behind the info you put on this site.

For fogs, they might work out...at the least, it'll definitely be an improvement over stock. I like that they are not meant to be blindingly bright, but that could mean that they are also not worth the $50 price tag. At least they don't have a fan that could fail.

The only thing I dislike about them is the significant dark sections that you see in their last picture. Those dark spots can cause the reflected beam patterns to look uneven on the road. They also cause the overall light output to be less than what is rated (assuming the manufacturer actually rated it in any type of reflective housing and are not totaling the pure raw LED ratings).

The price tag was much better than I coupled it with the Extreme HID kit. So I'll try them out, if "BLEH" i'll pull them and go with a better alternative.

He's saying that the BD and the Ridgelines are both bright, but the BD's don't focus their light as well. From your POV (as the driver), you may not notice it as much, but for the oncoming drivers, they will certainly notice it and find the BD's glare to be too much.

I have a feeling that he's just putting them into the stock fog locations without angling them down like you did.

I’d be curious to see the output on these. This picture here....

seems similar to the Hikari Phillips. If you don’t mind takeing some pictures showing the view as the driver and the throw distance. A lot of people take pictures of the front of the truck with the lights on which does nothing for us.

I shall do my best, but I don't have much room (being the city) to give you a good amount of throw from the driver's perspective.
