Went ahead and ordered wheelers U bolt for U bolt flip and they got to my house in 1 day and they look like they are going to fit correctly which is more than I can say about the set I originally got locally.

Got my CBI Overland Bars today which was surprising since they said they weren’t going to ship until after overland expo west. Got them installed but for some reason there was a ton of extra hardware almost like they sent a hardware kit for a while bed rack. And before anyone says anything yes I used all the hardware needed.

Sorry to dig up an old post, but I was wondering what you thought of the R/T’s and M/T’s? What made you make the switch, and how do you think the two compare?
I’m pretty set on the M/T’s but trying to find good feedback on Toyo’s can be difficult.
    Thanks man - nice rig!

No big deal, I’m happy to answer. So I originally had the RTs and they were great but I got the wrong size. A buddy of mine was selling a set of AT2s in the correct size so I used those then I decided after seeing how that same buddies MTs did I had to try them, loved them so much I’m on my second set they handle great off road and the treadwear is about what I expect. You can’t go wrong with any toyo tire they are pricy but in my opinion worth it.

    Thanks for the feedback.
Up here in Canada the M/T’s are the tire of choice for all of the oil rig and forestry guys - where time is money. They all love them and I’ve seen how well they balance up. The only downside is the weight, but your 4:88’s probably made up for that and then some!

They do make up for a good chunk of it but it still is a Tacoma haha, also The RT is a good in between of the MT and the AT so it just depends on what you want as they are around the same price.
