Yeah, in consulting, holidays are slim. My firm has even consolidated two federal holiday, President's and MLK, into one single floating holiday. Fuck you very much. And eliminated the measly 3 day paternity leave benefit 8 months before my son was born. Again, fuck you very much. And I get 5 weeks of PTO these days, no sick pay. Use it how I want. But if we run out of work on salary... you are required to burn PTO. And no work is guaranteed.

Our State client...Columbus Day, Caesar Chavez Day, Arbor Day, Pope Sneezed Day, Tuesday, you name it, they are off. And they can't work overtime.

Yeah, being subject to furloughs BECAUSE of politicians is rough. That's fucked up.

Why? You’re an ogre like me? Lol my buddy carries a 34 during the winter. That’s where I’d draw the line.

I had an employer do something similar with Veterans day. So I put in a vacation day one year to get it off and it was approved and then denied so I called in sick. And then I called in sick on Veterans day for the next 5 years. I no longer work there.

Try different holsters. I carry my G23 in the T1C and it’s the frame size of a 19 and I can’t even tell it’s there. The 17 is just a bit longer and wider obviously with the light, etc.

I couldn’t tell you how much I’ve spent on holsters for each gun lol. It takes time. And fwiw, I appendix everything. Except for when I had my motorcycle, I had used my army shoulder rig under my riding jacket for that cause crouching over all the time sucked

I asked my last employeer for Veterans Day off, he said sure if I took Vacation time, asked him if he was a Communist or something and why did he hate America. He obviously did not get that it was a joke.....made for an awkward conversation after that.

I tried carrying my Glock 22 for awhile and it was bulky as shit no matter how I carried it. Ended up getting a Glock 27 which was mehh.... and a Shield M&P 9... which was amazing to carry. A little more ergonomic than my Glocks too.

Sooo true. A few times I have forgotten I have it on me it’s so light and slim. Love that gun. Thinking about selling my current shield and picking up the .40 version too. I’m a .40 guy at heart.
