Pandora Tether Error

As of this morning I have "Pandora Error" on my screen. Turning off and on the bluetooth doesn't fix it. Turning on and off the truck doesn't fix it. Disconnecting and reconnecting the Entune phone app doesn't fix it. I don't see a software update. Maybe I'll try @tincup33 's suggestion and try to wipe my info and start over...

 

I have had this issue for two years on my s7. You have to unlink Pandora and relink it in the app. It will work for a couple days, then repeat. Entune sucks donkey balls.

 

Mine did this for the first time this morning, can't get it to work yet. I'll let you know if I find a solid solution.

 

Mine had a login error this morning.

Oh... and I noticed some ads coming through Entune the other day too.

 

Maybe Entune is/was down or something. I will get the occasional ad, but they are few and far between.

 

There was another thread that came up yesterday about entune being down.

 

Same thing here. Might be a legitimate issue this time rather than the usual Entune suckiness.

 

Aww shit. Been using Entune for 2 years and this is the first I've seen this particular error too. Mine started doing the 'Invalid Login' as soon as I picked it up from service yesterday. I guess it's nothing the dealer did at least.

I cannot understand how a piece of software can suck this bad in 2018, ESPECIALLY since IOS and Android have and maintain such perfect solution. I guess it's probably a lot cheaper for Toyota to underpay a hack IT team to develop and maintain this horrible disgrace for code than it is to license with Apple and Google. Sucks for us, and I cannot WAIT for someone to hack this POS. Can y'all imagine how bad it's going to be for us once the new version of Entune 3.0 rolls out to the Tacoma? There has been absolutely no noticeable hardening of code or improvements in this product since I bought this truck. It has just been 40K miles of suck. Most people bitch about little stuff with the Tacoma that I think is funny, but there is nothing funny about the Entune product.

 

Wow, judging from the amount of people just recently getting the same issues, I think it's an entune issue across the board. Hopefully Toyota is aware of it and working on a fix asap.

 

I get both tether errors and insufficient connectivity errors..but I’ve always done some combination thereof what I mentioned and ultimately get it going sone how...sounds like you just can’t get it st all? Try my suggestion and let me know, you’ve got nothing to lose. Try just using blue tooth connection for your phones auduo then run pandora off your phone and while it’s playing, making sure you’ve opened the Entune app in the background, just click on the Pandora app on your truck’s display... try this and my previous post, I’m curious if this is a bug for some.

Toyota dropped the ball on this, I don’t understand why they would replace a whole unit as opposed to just doing a software update and reboot? Seems a whole lot easier to me...and I do t think it’s a hardware issue on the Entune because some run fine...we all have something in common but we don’t know what it is yet...

What iOS are we all runing, capacity, maxed out space in memory on phone, iphone model, Entune production dates where problems occur, software/firmware rev on Entune..and so on..if we knew all the variables we would be able to see where the common problems lie. Bit that seems like a lot more work then having Entune engineers take a play out of carplays playbook...

I feel like this is a good time to plug Amazon Music Unlimited. You can build playlists/artist genres and still use the head unit/steering wheel controls to skip tracks. Haven't opened Pandora in months now and I don't miss it.

 

I just got the Pandora Error as well. I didnt know it was using Entune "cloud" - I thought it was local code. Seems stupid. It was working, I made no chganges, now it's broken for everyone. Piss poor product.

 

How do you make sure your HU has the latest software update?

 

Anyone know how to deactivate the motion tracker to be able to scroll through pandora stations while the vehicle is in motion? Sucks when i’m On the highway and would like to change the channel.

 

Agree that it sucks, but one workaround is to use voice command.
